!!!! Oh god, I want that so much.
FOUR different colour schemes, and we have to choose the best.
I've already chosen, I want all of 'em please!
WAAAAAAAAANT. Those look fantastic.
That looks great :)
I want that so much it has awoken me from my forum coma...
Awesome. They're ALL great, I particularly like the colour and the grey-tone options. Though the McMahon linework version is pretty bloody close to genius.
Any ideas when these will be on sale?
Looks amazing. 1) I'd like a full colour one done with the standard cover palette at the time
2) a black and white version with black lines (like Mike Mignola's Batman Black and White and Neca Ninja Turtle Black and white set) and zippotone dots for the shadows.
Say, would it be possible to get a plain black and white one you could customize yourself?
Update.
Nice!
I'll be having the grey scale one, thank you! But grand to see the others available as well.
Yeah, hopefully there will be something for everyone.
Latest news...
Pre-orders should be this week, and the first 100 get a signed A3 print of the McMahon sketch that the statue was inspired by.

Have we had prices for these yet?
Cheers
Jim
Prices were mentioned at Thought Bubble, I'll ask Dan if I can say.
£30 I believe. Which is actualy very good for a statue, which I wouldn't normaly be into.
I don't know where you got that figure from Hawkmonger - it wasn't the one given at TB.
Anyway, Dan's asked me to hold off - but hopefully price should be this week.
Ach! Could have sworn thats what I heard! :-\
No problem, anyway hopefully it will be settled this week.
With this week's Thrill-Mail..
Resyk?
Pre-orders Friday at 20:00
*adopts pleading Brad Pitt voice*
What's da price?
Dunk!
Sorry Dunk,
No price yet, presumably tomorrow when it goes up for preorder

Drokk! I'll be out for my works Christmas dinner then. Keen to see if I can afford one. They look great.
It's when I start work that night. Thank Grud for Smart phones!
Just for asking - and I guess we'll find out soon enough, but any guesses as to the price? Below £50?

Can we play The Price is Right with the figure Hawkmonger quoted?
Higher! Higher!
Lower! Lower!
Gotta say I like the way they showed four different designs to see which to run with, and decided to do all of them! I like the full colour one best, though it seems it'll be the only one not available from PR.
£55 plus postage
Just bought all three!
Go! Go! Go fellas!
Done!
Done!
Done! B&W for me!
You can't beat a bit of fun at work with dodgy reception but I got them, so I can relax.
By the way, thanks for not phoning me up this time, you know who you are ;)
It's been funny watching the estimates of prices.
from £30 to £500(!)
Done b&w for me
Like a fool, I forgot the time (I know, I know...) and only place my order (The black and white variant, of course!) at about 8:25pm. So I imagine I've missed out on the signed version, but hey....
The figure does look stunning, so I'll be more than happy to receive that, sometime next year.
According to PR on twitter, the webshop should adjust if it had gone past the 100 pre-orders.
It's still listing it as 'In stock' for the signed variant, and refreshing the page doesn't change that, so maybe.....?

And Planet Replica's have just confirmed over on FB, that all orders up to now (ie; 9:20ish) will receive the signed print. Bonus!
So get ordering chaps!
That greyscale looks great, that's my new favourite. I wish my birthday was coming up this month. WAIT A MINUTE! IT IS!!!
-pj
I totally don't collect figs so I said I wasn't getting one but somehow I found myself pressing the buy button....
I got the b/w. Says it comes with the print, so I'm super happy!
I had to call my husband first and make sure it wasn't coming as an xmas gift, haha.
Ordered! Hope I'm in time for the print. :D
I bought the BLACK AND WHITE one. BUT am very confused as I wanted the greyscale (or monochrome one) but I think the version labelled "LINED" is the black and white one. poop.
Now have to tell my wife I ordered it...
VERY CONFUSED.
-pj
B & W bought, so that's nice.
Got mine! Kit form as I wasn't sure which was which also. Very happy bunny though - Merry Christmas TO ME!
All signed versions now sold out...

me too - not sure which I bought, but as I was wavering between the two right up to clicking the button, I'm not that bothered.
Missed out on the print due to being at the works Christmas dinner but I've just ordered the lined version.
Looking forward to getting this. :-)
Hmmmmm, now you mention it, I'm now not sure which one I've bought. I initially thought that B&W meant exactly that and LINED meant GREYSCALE. Now I'm not so sure... :(
Bugger! I wanted, counting from the left, number 2. That's not the B&W one is it... :(
Going by that photo, the figures are; 1.) Kit form 2.) Lined 3.) Colour and 4.) Black and White.
So, if you ordered b&w then you'll be getting the figure on the far right. I guess as its a pre-order, and not due to ship until sometime next year, you could ring up/mail PR and ask to change your order?
It could be clearer. (Although I'm not sure how you equate lined with grey)
I've mentioned it to them.

Just ordered mine.
Missed out on the signed print, they went fast!
Hopefully a good omen for the success of other variants.
Of course, it doesn't help that on the order page they've called the 'shaded' one B&W! Could definitely be clearer. The good news is that I emailed them and they're happy to change my order from B&W to LINED! :D
Cool, yeah not sure if changing the name after the fact makes things more confusing or not, would have been better to just add the variant number to the image IMO.
Glad you got it sorted.
Just pre-ordered mine the grey tone version it'll stand next to me frank quietly batman
Were now into March, so I guess these might be landing soon-ish? The next 3, or 4 weeks maybe?
But just looking through this thread again, and at all the photo's, makes me wish they was here already..
I would have thought so - I'm seeing PR tomorrow to pick up some Stront props for rehearsals, so will ask.

Nice one Steve. I guess they'll announce everything in due course, but any titbits of info gleaned is always welcome.
I asked Dan and he said the last he'd heard from the factory was around end of March.
Thanks for asking Steve.
So, 23 days and counting then!
These will land when they do I guess, and I always factor in that there might be delays etc, but mightily looking forward to seeing this.
Fingers crossed. :)

From Planet Replica's facebook page -- "A quick McMahon statue update to say that they are due for a completed paint QC check this coming Friday (10th). More details as soon as we can!"
So, maybe these will be landing in the next couple of weeks?
Anyone one heard when these are due to be delivered as we are almost in may
No chance they'll arrive by Saturday I suppose... if it did, you could take it down to FP on FCBD and ask McM to sign the base!
They've just started shipping out to customers according to PR's facebook page.

Looking forward to these being delivered :D
Excellent news! Seems it's been an age since first ordering, but that's all OK, if they are now winging their way to peeps.
Sooooooo looking forward to seeing this.
Mine have arrived and I'm very happy with these!
The Lined and B&W ones come in four parts and one of those parts is an extra eagle (you can see those in th photo) and the DIY comes in 13 parts, for ease of painting and assembly. Oh and the McMahon print is as though he's done an individual sketch for everyone. Well done Planet Replicas
What's with the extra eagle?
It's one Steve Green did as a test, I'm sure he'll mention it, when he gets a chance. It's a lovely little extra surprise.
Ooh, can't wait to get home and see if the postie's been. I got a bit confused at the ordering stage so I'm not sure exactly which one I ordered - I hope it's the one on the left, which I would have described as "B+W" but that appears to be the one on the right.
Yeah, was just having a mess around and the factory chucked it in for free.
Should I've gotten an e-mail by now?
The press release said you'll get an e-mail once they're being prepped and another on despatch, that was dated 6th July.
You can try info@planetreplicas.com, but I'd give it until at least Monday, there are quite a few to get through.
And mine was waiting for me as well, when I got home an hour ago..

Very, very impressive indeed. From the box, to the signed McMahon Dredd print, and of course - the actual Dredd figure itself. Which is all kinds of lovely.

Damn you all I have just bought the kit! I had wanted the grey un and missed out, but will do my kit as per the Sci-Fi special colours and report back,,,
(silver badge, obviously) :)
My grey tone one just arrived. Lovely packaging, cracking statue that looks brilliant on the shelf. I had forgotten about the print too so that was a nice bonus. Good work Planet Replicas! Looking forward to more...

That movie DREDD one will be mine.
Got mine today but I messed up. Great sculpt and love the print.
I tried ordering the coloured version on release day and couldn't. Ordered on my phone and ordered the B&W (black & grey) instead of the lined version.
The colour one can't be ordered from Planet Replicas. It's coming in a 3 figure box (includes the lined and black and white versions) and can only be ordered a certain way.
Yeah, the coloured version was an exclusive to comic shops in a three-pack.
The webshop still has the lined one listed as available, maybe worth asking if a swap is possible?
got mine! it's glorious! So... how are people fixing the eagle on his shoulder and sticking him to the base?
-pj
Look PJ took his out of its packaging, unclean, unclean!
Only the one, I only took out the one! I left the other 12 in their boxes!

Well, as largely predicted by me (granted I expected it to take a little longer) I dropped the eagle from a bit of a height and broke it's wing off. gnnnnnn...
Will superglue help? only if I find the fecking wing...

PJ's pitch for a Star Wars / Dredd cross over.... Dredd: EX-WING.
Mine arrived today and like John Mills said - worth waiting for!
It has a satisfying weight to it and really captures McMahon's Dredd.
Dredd stands well on the plinth and the eagle stays on his shoulder if you just put it there - not sure I'll use any glue.

Yes, it stays there so well that you forget it's not glued so when you lift it to move it it falls off on the floor and breaks a wing.
Can I recommend you DEFINITELY use glue.
-pj
a tiny blob of blu-tak in the socket gives a firm stick without the permanence of glue.
I know Mcmahon was famous for his big boots, but I was still surprised by how tiny dredd's head is compared to his knees and feet!
Yes, the head is tiny isn't it! :)
Got mine today (grey variant) put it next to my frank quietly batman statue may try the blue tack idea
Sorry for double posting not sure how to edit posts, I also got a poster who else got one?
I got a poster, wasn't expecting one.
Statue and poster today as well - McMahon magnificence!! Very happy droid....
Looking forward to the mekon next, like how stuff other than dredd is starting to come out
Got mine today. Very pleased with it. Another great item from Planet Replicas.
Great pic, Albion
Nice display, Albion.
Dunk!
So, stupid question but google isnt helping me out.... this polystone stuff - I can use Army painter primer and acrylic paints as per a Resin kit?
Google tells me it's a mixture of Polyurethane Resin and stone powder - I've e-mailed Dan to see if he has any recommendations for what works best.
Cheers
Steve
Cheers, Steve - have a couple of weeks off work, so intend to make sure he gets done in a classic 1982 annual style!
Hiya,
from Dan...
"that's in primer so any paint would work, spray or other wise.
I'd presume they use a non waterbased paint for the primer, so any paint system should be fine on that"
Cheers Steve - started painting today - hopefully capture the McMahon colouring style from the early annuals...
Great!
Cool. I'd love to see people's paint jobs. There are quite a few different ways of approaching it.
There are indeed - trying to blend a few different McMahon styles, from his early Annual style to the Titan covers - avoided the temptation to go yellow knee and elbow pads, mainly due to how hard it is to paint yellow! Silver badge that McM started and ended his colour versions with (he gave in to the yellow badge for a time in between the early annuals and the Titan books, when the silver badge returns!
One thing I've noticed as consistent in McMahons Dredds are a slightly different tone of green for the belt... Having noticed it I can't un-notice it, but wonder if people will think I ran oout of the correct colour paint!
This he is half done, but you can see the colour choices (except the belt!)

Here you go - still a good bit of tidying up to do, but the overall effect is all there - even got the lightning flashes done tomy satisfaction, which was my greatest fear! Feel free to use it, most flattering - My full name is Leigh Shepherd, and this photo is already up on my FB! I'm no model maker, and am using my old miniatures paints that spend a lot more time in dusty drawers than actually painting minis, but this is a joy to do - fits together there without any glue while I'm painting it - no real visible joints to worry about - only a fool could mangle it :)

That's entirely zarjaz Leigh! Really fantastic job you've done with it.
M
Well despite being pleased with how it'sturned out I can't take much of the credit, being very loyal to Mick Mcs original vision, from off ilver badge to slightly different green belt to crumpled uniform - it's all the genius of McMahon's vision I'm feeding off! :)
WOW
Really nice job there Leigh !!! some great colour choices and shades going on..... ;)
Impressive !
Just had a message from my local comic shop. The triple packs are in on Wednesday and myself and Pete are sorted. There is a spare set going if anyone wants one!
I thought I'd post it here before I mention it elsewhere, as these three sets are confirmed.
Somehow managed to miss that custom paint job bit by Leigh. Bloomin' heck that's a bit good innit!
Heads up for our Irish chums; Big Bang Comics have three sets of the triple-packs on stock, retailing at €260.
I was sorely tempted, but didn't get one of them yesterday evening.
The RRP is £150, that works out at £185 at the moment.
Here's my set (I've also managed to grab three other sets for other Dreddheads out there).
And here they are in front of the box!
