A new Dredd cover from Cam Kennedy would be absolutely mind-blowing.
As you say Jim it has been a bad couple of weeks with two topline artists sadly gone and Buttonman in hospital. The Cam K news is a real ray of light. Z :D

Heh, great to see Cam moving into the interwebs... He got in touch with me a couple of days back concerning some related issues so as and when there's some info I can share here, I'll do just that. Not sure how much new material we'll see but in general there's definitely good news ahead for fans of Cam's work.

Cant read link in work but if Cam is up for more drawings thats FAB! Spoke to him a couple of years back at Glasgow con and it didnt sound promising. So nice to have some good news on a Friday!
Standard-sized art. If he can do that, I really really hope Tharg can get him doing at least something for the Prog. (A Dredd might be too much, but a Dredd cover would be ace.)

I was under the impression that the main problem with Cam's eyesight was glaucoma, which I was
thought was usually treatable, or at least controllable (unlike macular degeneration, which I think is what put an end to Ron Smith's illustration career).
Fingers crossed we can squeeze a few illos out of the old warhorse yet, even if he's not up to a strip. :-)

I know it's probably not likely he'll be doing a multi part Dredd anytime soon, but anything new (or unpublished for that matter) is geat news. I was lucky enough to get a sketch from him two or so years ago at 2D - I didn't think he'd be sketching from what I'd heard, so it was a great pleasure to get it.

Missed this thread and have to admit I have been selfishly following Cam on Twitter since he arrived. I didn't think to share the news & no idea why I didn't.

Cam tweeted some nice (I assume new) Dredd sketches today.
Cam did an Alien print/poster that was given away with a limited edition Aliens VHS that I think was only available in Woolworths - a long while ago now.
I'll see if I can find it - I might have a scan of it somewhere.
