1 pair of sports shoes which I think are plimsoles. - Not my style but I appreciate the gesture. It was from the same person who gave me the shirt, so I'm touched they bought me two things.
Oh, actually a couple of months ago my colleague bought me a pair of boots too. (These are very nice.) I mention them as she said "Happy early Christmas present." I was especially touched by that as we don't really get each other presents, and I wouldn't count her as a close friend. I had been saying for two or three weeks that my shoes were worn out and I wanted to get a new pair. I didn't do that to fish, you understand. I wouldn't do that. I had planned to get a pair myself.
She just asked me to sit with her one morning and got out a pair of boots!
Part of me wanted to not accept them, as those things can be quite expensive , but I didn't want to offend her either. (And what was she going to do with a pair of men's boots if I didn't accept them.)
I'll admit, my mind goes to places of loneliness and black despair on occasion (thankfully, my mood shifts quite quickly so I'm rarely like that for long). But then you encounter moments of kindness, like that, and you realise, life really isn't that bad after all.
I think in future I should guard what I say, as well though, as I'll admit I felt a bit embarrassed and guilty. She is far from rich and shouldnt spend her money on me.
But it was a truly lovely gesture, and I'm thankful.
And that what Mardroid so elegantly set out, is what this season should mean.Z

Yep. I just read a thread on boadsheet.ie where a Chinese girl wrote in to say her family was broken into in County Kildare just before Christmas - the scumbags threatened to pull the kids' teeth out with pliers and took all the folks' money, which was going to be used to buy the kids a PS4 for Christmas.
Somebody on the thread responded by buying them a new PS4 to give the kids. Lovely.
I got some much-needed vouchers for clothes shops, a 'man-bag' which I also need, and from my brother the Future Shock DVD. He knows me all too well.

Target, in the toy section where I brought this to check the others and they all have now gun. So that is okay, but very strange for them to do. As, I have noticed that the

Yet,
Greedo does have his gun attached to the inside of the box underneath. Where it's feet go.
Very strange indeed.
I plan to get few more those to go with
Vader and
Boba.
The former is on my computer in the bedroom and the latter is out her right now in the kitchen with me.
There is also a deluxe version that look more realistic and it does have the gun, but it's about hundred dollars.
