Title: Starburst
Post by: manwithnoname on 30 January, 2018, 10:10:27 AM
The world's longest running magazine of cult entertainment!

Or something.

I've only started reading this again in the last 18 months or so, and I'm very delighted that such a thing even still exists, and is available to actually buy and therefore support, rather than just click onto a website and be swamped with terrible digital advertising.

It's also remarkably content heavy, and almost always has plenty of interest within - although it could do with more 2000AD.

Anyone else a regular reader or have anything interesting to add?

Picked it up again when it was relaunched several years ago, and on a related note, the mag did an excellent feature on Dredd when it was released, must admit to not buying it over the last few years due to a lack of funds.

I agree though, it's packed with excellent features!

I was expecting it to be about a small format sci-fi comic from the early eighties, before realising that was Starblazer!

My gripe with it is the lack of interviews. For example, they might do 15 pages on The Avengers but none of that would be interviews, just stuff anyone could find online and paste together.
