Title: Humilation suggestions needed
Post by: Trout on 04 April, 2003, 02:36:10 AM
I'm hoping some of your clever buggers will help me out with silly suggestions.

I'm doing a front cover for the annual report of a social group/charity committee I'm involved in.

Last year I had great success by using Photoshop-style software to stick people's heads on cartoon bodies.
(For those who know Scots comics strips, I used a front cover of a Broons book. Just to be fair, I made myself Daphne!)

Everyone had a good laugh and took a bit of a slagging, in a gentle way.

Anyway, I want to do something similar this weekend - incorporate their faces into something daft - but I'm stuck for an idea.

The essential elements are it has to be something recognisable, where I can stick around ten to a dozen faces in, and I have to be able to find a decent jpg of it, or take a photo of something.

Comics references are unlikely to be much use, but I was considering looking for a films image. It would also need to be in colour.

I know it's a cop-out to tap into the creativity of my fine (if common and smelly) subjects, but is there any chance of helping out a puzzled fish?

Why not create half-human, half-fish people? Or would that be too ridiculous?

You might find a still of something like that in the 'Meaning of life' (Monty Python)

Team Photo of England - see who gets to be becks, who ends up as Seaman, e.t.c. I'd have suggested the Scots team but no-one would recognise any of them with their heads, let alone with someone elses on.

How about a line up of all the toys in Toy Story? That would be good for a sly dig at folk.

try oompa-loompas from the choccy factory, or a group scene of the munchkins from over the rainbow, maybe with yourself as dorothy.

How about the old Trainspotting poster (granted, that only means four people tho!)
A cast photo of the League of Gentlemen?
An old Justice League of America with Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman et al, they're all fairly recognisable!

Many thanks for all your help!

I've gone with Thunderbirds, because it was easy to stick the heads on.

Cheers!

"Will you post up the finished results?"

I'd like to, but not until after our AGM.

It's for the local Round Table, part of a fine organisation I recommend to you all.

Annoyingly, I have no facility to post such things on the net. Can someone do it for me?
