Last time we, in the Current Tournament we had to make a call between the two definitive (can you have two definitive anythings???) Dante artists Simon Fraser of John Burn. Well not to be out done the Classic side pulled this one out the bag. Does this boil down to you favourite Nemesis artist? Was Talbots' Book 4 the absolute peak of the series, or does O'Neill's Book 3 top it?... well actually you might like Book 2 but that's a tough decision for another day. Remember is this town we don't book no Marshal Law or Luther Arkwright...no dfor today we have this one to make on Tharg's work alone.
Alas we still have to pick our favourite and to do so just pop the name of the art droid you'd most like to go through to the Quarter Finals, but please add anything else you'd like to say as well.
Bryan Talbot - more info (http://www.2000ad.org/?zone=droid&page=profiles&choice=BRYANT)
OR
Kev O'Neill - more info (http://www.2000ad.org/?zone=droid&page=profiles&choice=KEVINO)
This one will close and be counted on the morning of Friday 15th January

Nemesis vs Nemesis - Bryan Talbot for me since he was my first encounter with Nemesis
Argh... Both brought their own unique take to the warlock, but for all those fantastic designs of Termight and Nemesis' world, it's Kevin O'Neill for me.
O'Neill for me
As much as I love Bryan's work my vote goes to Brother O'Neill without any hesitation whatsoever.
For goodness sake, who did the draw?
Bryan Talbot did some of the most memorable art ever in the Prog.
Those scenes on the beach at the end of the world are just immense. And he does the definitive Torquemada as far as am concerned.
Plus his Dredd's were great.
And he has done some iconic covers.
But there are some 2000AD artists who are in an elite bracket, above all the others and Kev O'Neill is absolutely one of those. Damnit he's pretty much the founder of it.
So yeah Kev O'Neill gets my vote.
This is genuinely a tough one.
Brother Kev.
Kev O'Neill, even if the last Nemesis stuff wasn't a patch on the original strips.
Bryan Talbot - one of the only two possibilities that could beat O'Neill for me.
O'Neill
...Vark!
Kev O'Neill
Kev O'Neill. He exemplifies 2000ad.
Talbot is a legendary and awesome artist, but Kevin O'Neill pracitcally IS 2000AD.
As far as this Toruney's concerned, Brother O'Neill all the way...
Bryan talbot
Kev. Has to be.
SBT
Brother O'Neill.
Tomorrow, I might say O'Neill but today...
Bryan Talbot. His work on Nemesis Book 6 is phenomenal. Those images of characters staring out at the sunset as the world ends have been seared into my mind. I find it impossible to walk along the local beach without recalling them.
Talbot.
Kev O'Neill, for making me uncomfortable with his art.

Kev. It'd be a photo-finish if I was including non-2000AD work in my decision, but I'm not.
I have to say Bryan Talbot on this occasion. His Nemesis and Luther Arkwright still blow me away.

Of course you aren't. If you were your vote, every vote you have ever made and the votes of all your family and loved one's would be stricken from the records and you would be hunted in the street like the dog you'd become... or something like that...

Um, forget I mentioned Luther Arkwright...
Kev O'Neill
I'm in the Talbot camp.

I'm in the Talbot camp.
Nothing worse than a soft concentration camp.

Try a nudist beach this year, Poindexter.
Strictly Kev.
I'm sorry, these choices are getting impossible!
I'm going with Kevin though. By a nose.
Bryan
Only 24 hours or so to go on this one so if you haven't voted and want to get your vote in today and I'll annouce the result in the morning.
VOTING CLOSED
In my head Kev O'Neill is one of the few who might be able to challenge Carlos and this vote has kinda unlined that. That said Bryan Talbot not only got a lot of well deserved love but far more votes than anyone whose come up against Carlos, but then he is an incredible talent and I do wonder if world outside Tharg's kingdom...
....as it is its little surprise to say
Kev O'Neill
is through to the quarter finals.
Although I did not vote for Kev, I will always see him as one of the founding fathers of the prog.

Yeah I think it was SBT (sorry if not) who said that in many way his style makes him the definitive 2000ad artist. And this is kinda exemplified by his victory in the Favourite Festive Front Tourney.
