There might not be quite the level of thrills we had last week in Week 5, but it exemplifies just how tough this tournament is becoming. A middling week quality wise and we still get some right interesting ties and some really top draw thrills. It's only going to get harder folks!
Second of the heartbreakers this week for me this one. I mean we know which way we gonna go here but man I'm going to miss the simian superstar, who has to be fair taken down Black Light and Breathing Space (with guile and catapults)... don't think I'm getting too ahead of myself making that call ... am I.... only you can decide says Marshal Metta Lawson

Just reply in this thread naming your favourite thrill of these two series at the beginning of your post (or use Bold tags so I can spot it easily) and say what you like about these wonderful stories after that.
Match ends early on the morning of Sunday 12th June and the winner gets a place in Round 4 (of 9!!!).

Any questions, just ask as ever - and have FUN
Lawless
Lawless.
Chomsky's fun but Lawless is a class act unlike anything else in 2000AD.
Lawless
Lawless
It's got to be Lawless. It's in my top three Megazine thrills of all time and top 2 Dabnett.
Sorry Chimpsky but you are facing a tourney top 5 I am sure - Lawless all the way
Poor Chimpsky. A fun character. A solid solo run. Lovely art. A couple of fantastic covers. But, well, Lawless. Consistently the best thing in the Meg for years, another reminder of how lucky 2000 AD is to have Abnett (and that he's so prolific), and the kind of strip that's going to go very deep into this tournament—at least if there's any justice.
Lawless.
Lawless is just stunning.
Lawless, but it's a sadness for Chimpsky.
She may have lost the mayoral vote in the latest story, but surely Lawless is unstoppable here.
Nice to have an easy vote some mornings! (Even if it does mean waving goodbye to a perfectly decent contender)
Lawless. Deserves to go very far in this contest.
Lawless
lawless
Nobody apes the lawless apparently!
I've enjoyed Lawless, but at times its been too wordy and soap operaitic (?) for me.
Chimpsky's Law on the other hand has genuinely made me LOL and tickled that bone that classic early Dredd stories reached, so its the minkey for me.
I haven't read the Meg in decades, so Chimpsky's Law it is for me.
Lawless.

Lawless
They're very different, and there's much more of Lawless than there is of the relatively new Chimpsky.
But I enjoy Chimpsky more.
Lawless though I'm a bit behind as I just read it collected. Trusting it's still good!
Lawless for me to.
Chimpsky
Lawless. I also read it collected, thankfully a new volume comes out soon!
Maybe there's an opportunity for a Chimpsky's Lawless spin-off in the future ;)
Lawless.
Cheers
Its going one way and that is entirely right BUT we have one day to cherish the chimp so get it done today before I do the eulogy tomorrow morning.
VOTING CLOSED
So it ends for Chimpsky a character I think is one of the best new additions to the Prog's line-up. He was served by a fantastic first series that was fresh, exciting, smarter than its getting credit for and worked really well to drive the character beyond just a Dredd co-star. For all that the result is fitting and just as Lawless is already one of the great thrills. I'll be honest, while I don't expect it to get this far I have a fine in mind - one I would like to see, that includes Lawless. Its my favourite current thrill and stands alongside the very, very best. With this vote it joins the 20+ votes club, one that will get less exclusive as the Rounds go on and the vote count raises, but one that is pretty select at this point.
Lawless
will be defending Badrock from the wasteland of Round 4.
Pity about Chimpsky but it is facing a possible top 3 strip here. Some good news about Chimpsky and I am quoting KN here: Noam's coming back later this year, in a story called 'A Terrifically Disturbing Adventure'. His first solo story had a kind of goofy Agatha Christie thing going on, but this one is definitely Evil Enid Blyton, and really gets quite nasty in the episodes I've written so far.
