The ties in Week 6 are a bit of a mixed bag. A couple of very interesting ones that are hard to call mixed in with some very lopsided potential batterings and BOTH versions of Bill Savage making an appearance - but which will survive?

Just reply in this thread naming your favourite thrill of these two series at the beginning of your post (or use Bold tags so I can spot it easily) and say what you like about these wonderful stories after that.
Match ends early on the morning of Thursday 16th June and the winner gets a place in Round 4 (of 9!!!).
What on Earth is ALL of this? (https://forums.2000ad.com/index.php?topic=48011.0)
For those that need 'um and can be bothered to follow 'um there's some simple rules (https://forums.2000ad.com/index.php?topic=48011.msg1070150#msg1070150)
Any questions, just ask as ever - and have FUN
XTNCT it will be since I never read Mind
I actually kinda liked Wolfie Smith but...
Xtinct.
Wolfie Smith.
XTNCT
Wasn't Wolfie Smith a case of "well, SOMETHING has to come across from the comic we're shuttering"? Regardless, I re-read XTNCT a couple of weeks back and it's still wonderful, so it wins for me here with ease. RPTR S FCKNG GRT T!
Why do I only seem to think 'U' is a vowel like half the time?
Wolfie Smith.
Wolfie Smith.
Look, XTNCT is objectively a better story than any bit of Wolfie Smith (well the 2000AD stuff - haven't read the Tornado tales). But I do love Wolfie Smith as a character and his whole vibe of charging around late 70s Britain being a prick. And Jesus Redondo drawing evil people with weird faces. Kind of hoping that he we keep forcing him into higher rounds of the Tourney Tharg'll be inpsired to get him back for a special or somethin'.
So I'm voing Wolfie Smith.
Also, from the Intro, it took me a while to remember what Rlm f th Dmnd was:
Rolme of the Diamond?
Ruulim foy th' Damnid?
Srry, Cln. XTNCT.
Mind of Wolfie Smith

Wolfie Smith. On the grounds that one episode was so frightening to younger me that I had to keep it hidden under the cushions on the sofa. And also because XTNCT is written by Paul Cornell, and so just makes me angry.
SBT
You make this narrative, artistic choice - and then you have to live with it. But it's difficult to parse (sometimes), so it kills the immersion.
The Mind of Wolfie Smith
Mind of wolfie smith
Was Mind of Wolfie Smith ever collected in any way so far? This is one where I believe the meg floppy should come into play.
XTNCT MST LV!!!!
The vowels will remain strong in this post. With just a day to go I have a feeling I will be displeased with this result... mind I do think XTNCT is a fantastic thrill so IF the final result is as I suspect I'll get over it.
VOTING CLOSED
Well I was wrong, my eye count was completely off and I checked and double checked this wasn't just me wanting to save the vowels BUT no its not and my scan was wrong this one has not gone the way I was expecting and IF push had come to shoove for all my moaning I might have voted... I do love both strips for very different reasons but
MND F WLF SMTH
will be seeing all the letters in your mind in Round 4.
I never read Wolfie and there is a lot of love for the strip so I would really like a reprint of this in the meg

Well given that the reprint in the Meg this month is from like 20 minutes ago this does seem amazing!
Urgh. A leftover from another comic beats one of the most innovative and striking one-offs in the 2000 AD group's relatively modern history.
