The ties in Week 6 are a bit of a mixed bag. A couple of very interesting ones that are hard to call mixed in with some very lopsided potential batterings and BOTH versions of Bill Savage making an appearance - but which will survive?
Yes Dry Run has made it to Round 3, getting a bye in Round 1 and then surprising everyone by taking out Holocaust 12 (well it was going to be a surprise whatever it got past!). Here though it meets a much stronger thrill in The Taxidermist (or as folks have rightly pointed out what should be called The Return of the Taxidermist as that was the series name) which took out Maelstrom to date. Will Dry Run finally run out of juice?

Just reply in this thread naming your favourite thrill of these two series at the beginning of your post (or use Bold tags so I can spot it easily) and say what you like about these wonderful stories after that.
Match ends early on the morning of Friday 17th June and the winner gets a place in Round 4 (of 9!!!).
What on Earth is ALL of this? (https://forums.2000ad.com/index.php?topic=48011.0)

Taxidermist.
Taxidermist. Obvs.

Taxidermist. Funny, absurd, compassionate, and gorgeous to look at.
Taxidermist, by miles. Easily the best strip about an old man stuffing corpses for the Olympics ever written.

Unfortunately Dry Run has had its run. Easily The Taxidermist.
The Taxidermist.
I fully intended to vote for Dry Run, a terrible story I have a soft spot for, as a sort of joke vote but I can't do it. The Taxidermist is so good.

I remain more than slightly astonished that Dry Run, pretty high on my list of "Most Terrible Thrills in the History of 2000AD", made it this far! Good riddance! :-)
(Nice art from the Hopgood droid, but the story...?! YEESH.)
Return of the Taxidermist gave us Olympic level staring contests. Dry Run gave us...
some neat imagery of people riding horses across desertificated sea floors?
The Taxidermist
I remember very little about Dry Run, other than it was awful. But then, I thought that about Junker too, and on rereading that in the QC Miniseries was pleasantly surprised to find out that while it was indeed dreadful, it was also ridiculously funny too. Just not in a good way, or by design.
So it has to be The Taxidermist.

Wait - what was Dry Run up against that it made it this far?
Was it ... Big Dave? Junker? Trash? Janus Psi Division? Bonjo? Skip Tracer?

close, Holocaust 12...
Ah, right then. Poor old Holocaust 12.
Taxidermist
If you ever find yourself chased by a pack of Taxidermists...Don't play dead.
Just a day to go to stop a very rare shut out for Round 3. Feels unlikely that will happen, but we'll know in the morning.
VOTING CLOSED
Not really much to say here is there
Taxidermist
gave Dry Run a right stuffing!
Is this the first total whitewash? Probably not, but I can't remember any other ones.
In this Round - Jaegir got a 19 nil victory over Rose O'Rion earlier in the round. Jaegir was one of 18 (by a quick count) in Round 2.
Thanks! I was wondering. Rose O'Rion was a bit nondescript.
