I'm not surprised, tbh. I've got what I would have thought of as the most goodwill possible for this to have succeeded, but it was pretty flat. In particular, I found the comedy beats mostly missing by a mile as they jostled for position with the fantasy drama.
I hoped a younger audience would be more into it, but I couldn't drum up the interest to watch much beyond about the third of fourth episode.
(Looking forward to the D&D movie.)

It's a Disney property - part of the Lucasfilm portfolio - so it's not going to anyone else's streaming serviice.

Willow (1988) wasn't a flop, although it didn't do as well as was hoped. It's something of a cult classic (which sounds a bit similar to a description of your good self).
