Title: Babylon Five Reboot Unlikely.

Grim news for any B5 fans, as Bruce Boxleitner admits he's heard nothing about any reboot.

Thank Valen. I mean, how would one possibly find a new G'Kar, for example?

Give us something new - like Babylon 505, a far future diplomatic outpost in a different galaxy as the Interstellar Alliance attempts to grow into the Intergalactic Alliance, with beings from the intergalactic gulfs trying to stop them. Or something.

What they did to Star Trek I am fine with no reboot of B5. Who is even a safe pair of hands thesedays? Londo & G'Kar epic characters. A lightning in a bottle casting. Good luck trying to emulate that magic.

If you're going to reboot it.......why would you need to keep Bruce Boxleitner in the frame?

Question, is it a prerequisite that I watch Babylons 1 through 4 before finally seeing 5?

If one was asked where to start with B5, would one suggest The Gathering or In the Beginning?

Hmmm, good question.  I'm tempted to say The Gathering as the pilot, establishing many of the major characters.  In the Beginning is more of a 'fill in the blanks and tie together some of the dangling threads' before the final run into Season 4.

I suppose in some respects the risk of watching ItB too early is that it takes away some of the mystique of the Minbari aspect of the first season.  I've seen suggestions that it should be watched about a third of the way through season 4.

Pretty sure 1 to 3 was blown up and 4 disappeared. I don't think we should encourage them to think about prequel ideas. Londo & G'Kar might end up with a human Mikey Spock type sister or something?
