Can anyone help out?
I'm writing a short story and need to know the state of England in the time of Dredd, the South especially.
I only came back to 2000 AD last year after a couple of years away.
Has Dredd blown any of it up in the interim?
Dredd wanted to nuke England of the future but Chief Judge Hershey said Wales only.
Seems fair to me.

Brit Cit as it's called, still exists in Dredd's timeline. The Brits came to Dredd's aid during the Doomsday saga in 2k during 1999.
I think Mr Wagner should have a tale where Dredd visits Brit Cit.

There was also a lot of Brit Cit based stories in the Megazine. "Armitage" (the most well known), Brit Cit Babes, and a story, I think it was called Brit Cit Brute. The city the Megazine depicts differs greatly top what was hinted at through 2000AD's Judge Dredd strip. There Btit Cit is seen as an efficent and honourable place. the other stories have it as a corrupt, dark place, run by masons and pervets. And don't get me started to what they did to Scotland...
...... it just simply wasn't enough!!!! (Head shaking sadly)

O.k, thanks for the info. One more - and crucial -question though.
Where is Brit Cit? I assume it's developed out from London but how far and in what direction? I'm interested in the area westwards from the capital.
