Has anybody else missed this weeks sub copy?
The postie has just been (Tuesday) and STILL no thrills.
How long before I should contact the subs dept?
Questions, questions.
Rotts
I didn't receive mine on the usual Monday. Don't know if it's in to today's post yet.
Leave it until Thursday at least. I often get a late delivery, maybe something to do with my surname starting with W.
WoD.
I didn't get one.
However, I am confident I will eventually, and these rare occasions when it's late don't lead me to want to execute anyone at Rebellion.
I shall be merciful, for now.

Noticing that he hadn't had my usual (and, until now, fairly regular) A4 white envelope in his sack for the past two days now, the postman was well to avoid my front door this morning.
Frassin Rassin subs!
But on the whole, they're usually on time. Usually.
Empty sack for me too...
Quick! Matron, the screens!
maybe its the lack of TPOs? (That's Travelling Post Offices, Post Office trains to you lot, not Trill Power Overloads)
Helpful Huff
Mrs WoD confirms that my sack was also empty this morning. But the upside is that there will hopefully be a shorter wait until the next one arrives.
Mr Optimistic.
Ahh, how quickly the tone descends to the gutter ... !
...and I can't get the blame for it this time. For a change. :)
No prog for me either, btw.
lying in the gutter looking at the stars, there's no better view.

Mine has wandered into the realm of endless night too. Now the question is- if it doesn't come tomorrow, do I go and buy one off the shelf anyway?
Subs? Don't talk to me about subs- three weeks with the wrong name on the envelope and STILL no mug.
Steev
You can just feel the absolute terror and bewilderment of the subbers when their issue doesn't arrive on time once again...
Lovely icon Rotts!
J.
Its the sugar that sweetens the pill of Monday morning. And mine hasnt arrived either. Booo! Hisss!
When you do get your mug, for the love of God don't put it in the dishwasher! The image fade really, really easily.
I bought the judge death one and it's fading from the top down so now it looks like he's standing under a really, really bright light.
Bitter? Moi? For ?10.99 for whatever it is - you betcha!!
[Strokes big pile of contributor's copies which arrived on Saturday]
Tch. It's a hard life...
Nope, no prog for me either, though I did get the prog from 2 weeks ago yesterday.
Had to phone to get that one.
I'll always buy a copy if it dosn't turn up by Thursday.
It does annoy me that I subscribe to guarantee myself a copy of the prog/meg then they don't turn up.
No, I haven't either, but then again, living in Oz it's anywhere between the Monday before release of the the wednesday the following week.
I am looking into this at the moment, as far as I know the subs copies were dispatched as usual Friday morning.
As soon as I have answer I will let you know the situation.
I am sorry for this situation but we are at the mercy of Royal Mail.
Couple of you have mentioned Mugs, the next batch of mugs will be with the mailing house this week. They will be send out to you as soon as possible. If you would like to know when please mail subscriptions@2000adonline.com for precise details.
Cheers,
Dom
"proggy proggy proggyyyyy"..... Thats the proggy song, sang in an ironic tone of voice which implys that its tuesday & no progggy either.
I'm so glad this board is here so we can each share our horror & bewilderment at progglessness. sniff, i wuv u guys.... well mebbe, sometimes...
anywey i never have time to read it til wednesday or so, so no biggie.
... Just to say, as a member of the Droid community that I've not received this week's Prog either!
Having to make do with pouring through old Titan albums for comfort...

Oy, Spurrier-- you've got my copy there!
It's times like these that i'm glad i didn't subscribe to the prog
Just got back from away all excited to read the prog.. and what do i find.
mines not here either. sob.
Well whaddaya know?
Mine has arrived today after all.
YAY!
... and I never got my "set" (if 4 of 6 can be called such) of "zarjaz postcards"- surely Tharg's cheapest letter column prize ever, you stingey green git- for having my letter in the Meg this month.
And while I'm on the subject, the red baseball cap I won years ago is still missing the '00A' from the '2000AD' logo. Mind you, not that I'd ever be seen wearing it in public. Especially not after a particularly rainy night in the mid-nineties, when a friend borrowed it to walk home in, kept it for months, and then admitted he'd used it as a "sperm catcher" after an impromptu wank upon getting home to find his mum's Gratton catalogue had arrived and the bra section had been expanded.
He did wash it before returning it, I hasten to add. Or so he said. It's not been near my head since- though I did once delight in watching an enormous twat that i know, stick it on his head in an effort to appear humorous one night.

I tell you he's just clearing out his lock-up dawn the eastend, next you'll see Tooth stuff in poundstrecher...
There was I thinking I'd bollocksed up me online sub renewal (1346 was to be the last of the current sub), but turns out we're mostof us in the same boat.
(forlorn wail) were's me prog? (sniff).
Z
P.S who said "we're all in the gutter, but some of us are looking at the kerb."?
No prog for me either.... yet!
Is it worth me subbing to 2000ad?
I have been collecting it for 5 years and never subbed once due to a lack of tempting offers but I recently subbed to Viz and they are on time which made me consider subbing to 2000ad in order to get my prog on a monday as opposed to a wednesday, but this list of non-shows worried me.
Is it worth it?
Jamb
Yes. I think it is. The odd one is delayed, but then so are the odd issues delayed from getting into the shops.
Subscribing saves you the trouble of going to get a copy, which is nice.
It also means more money is pumped back into the comic, as the newsagents profit goes straight into Thargs hands.
And there's nothing like getting them early.
Depends where you are in the country to how good postie is - these no-shows happen once or twice a year at most. Personally, I'd say 9 out of ten arrive on a monday, with the odd Tuesday appearance and the even rarer no-prog-til-its-in the-shops disaster like this week.
Any idea what went wrong, Dom?
You forgot to mention the sometimes lucky "turns up unexpectedly on Saturday morning" that does happen now & then.
Like I said, mine arrived yesterday - so I'd imagine the rest of you should have it by today's post.
"we're all in the gutter, but some of us are looking at the kerb."
Thjats was Capt Zeep wasn't it?
Go for a subbie, for all the above reasons.
Huffy B-)
Slept through my alarm this morning, which despite making me very late for work meant I caught the postman*.
No prog.
Not HP at all.
* When I say 'caught', perhaps the giant net and snake-filled pit was a little excessive. But desperate times ...
But I got mine, and in the long-run, isn't that the important thing?
Smithers. Release the hounds ...
Where do the subs department stand on damaged progs? Two weeks ago mine arrived baddly ripped so I had to buy another copy from Smiths (This did allow me to give the ripped copy to a friend - 'spread the word' and all that), but could (or should) I have asked the subs dept for another copy?
Cheers,
WoD.
And YES - go for a sub every time. So much easier, and they do arrive eventually and in good condition the vast majority of the time.
We?re not the only ones searching for this weeks Prog,
La Placa Rifa,
W. R. Logan.

Prog 383
If your prog is actually ripped, as opposed to just creased, then you can get a second copy by emailing the subs department (subscriptions@2000adonline.com) with your subscriber number and address.
Wake
Mine arrived today (Wednesday), and no bitter complaining from me.
- Trout
I have spoken to the subs house and they were all dispatched on time. They are sent Friday morning and Royal Mail guarantee that they will be delivered within 2-3 days. This should ensure that the copy is with the subscriber on Monday or Tuesday at the latest.
If there is a problem I will let you know but everything has gone out on time.
Mine arrived this morning- Wednesday. Sadly, the continuing battle to get my actual, real, and proper, name put in the address line continues. I am still 'Mark', according to the subs department. Have emailed them about it, despite having been assured it was fixed and this week would see it addressed to me. Sigh. A bit of a huge fuckup all round this week. Never mind, these things happen. I shan't hold it against Tharg's underpaid and overworked droids.
Great prog all round though. Enjoyed everything- except the lack of an Input, replaced by a dreary subs ad for some overrated adolescent wank-rag and the equally dreary cover that, following Cliff Robinson's generic effort last week, made me wonder where the original, thrill-powered covers have gone. Prog 214- now THAT's a cover!
Steev
yeahhhhhh i got mine at last ! that'll be a hard working afternoon ahead then... also got a mug which i wasnt expecting, so its a shiney happy Bou in the north all around.
yeah definately subbing is the way forward.
Perhaps this, From the Royal Mail website, had something to do with the subs slipping:
Harry Potter fans around the country were delighted to see their postman or woman last Saturday. Around 600,000 copies of 'Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix' were delivered - thanks to a huge effort by employees in Customer Management, Logistics, Mail Centres and Delivery Offices. The size of the book meant that, in most cases, delivery required a knock on the door, resulting in many postmen and women extending their walk time to ensure that as many books were delivered as possible. Early indications show that Quality of Service hit 99.7%. Programme Manager Tony Bloxsome said, "A huge thank you to everyone involved. Many different parts of the business had a hand in ensuring that all went to plan and that our customers received a first-class service".
Logan that made me laff out loud, simple minds...
Just because they did a good job on Saturday (and they did, Ta postie!) doesn't mean they can slack off for the rest of the week though.
So - since postie has failed on his promise to deliver in three days, who claims the money back- me or Rebellion? :)
If only that were true, sadly we have to roll with the punches on this one.
> [Strokes big pile of contributor's copies which
> arrived on Saturday]
[Listens to the sound of progless subbers spitefully lowering votes on Spurrier's work]
> Tch. It's a hard life...
You're not wrong.
Well, the "mighty" one himself pops up to crawl. Well, well, well.
Well, well, well, well, well.
Er, that's it.
