I mean ... it just is, isn't it!
Wouldn't know, I'm stuck in bloody work...

A few of these ...
Some of these ...
On one of these ...
And we feel just ...
Anyone out marching?
Sod off.
It's hot hot hot today in the Borders (and all over the UK I gather). The garden that I work in is having a charridee open day today so I'll be out this afternoon in me shorts and 2000ad T shirt showing old dears round the herbaceous borders and sipping earl grey and eating strawberries and cream...don't worry tho' I've got a crate of stella in the fridge for when they all bog off :)

I've just come back from my extended clan's annual gathering, and very pleasant it was too, sitting in blazing hot sun all afternoon drinking beer...
My brother's hosting it next year, so it'll probably piss down, knowing his luck.
It was lovely down here too.. Stunning.
Spent the day on the beach and in the sea. Just lovely.
I'm just back from running away from teen s the weekend, swimming in river Dee, exploring wierd granite waterfall thing & generally clocking up major miles around blazing hot east scotland, our skinn seems to have turned an unfamiliar hue, how bizarre....
good eh!
good times by all...roll on global warming
This weekend, your mighty ruler moved into the new Trout Towers, and truly it is splendid!
A good-sized garden, plenty of room to fill the house with comics and related crap, and gorgeous countryside all around.
Fantastic!
My first purchase after moving in - before a fridge and a washing machine, even - was a barbecue, and it's already been used twice.
(The shed's still huge, Pete, if you want to move in.)
ALL HAIL THE MIGHTY FISH IN HIS CASTLE!
Saturday was indeed a very sunny day... just the weather to be wearing a tuxedo & bowtie all day...
My brother's wedding went very well & hangovers all round Sunday morning (with a fair bit of retching from Oddgirl, poor lass!).
I hereby proclaim my weekend to have been a roaring success.
Venturing out into the jungle that is my garden, I used a disposable BBQ for the first with great success. All were happy with my grilling skills - tho the sausages were a little overdone and no-one touched the trout fillets I'd spent half an hour preparing :o(
After much beer we all retired.
Sunday was too f*cking hot tho. Stayed indoors and drew all day while looking after my migraine-affliected girlfriend.
Top weekend. Shame that this morning the sky is so murky it looks like it's been painted by Carl Critchlow.
disposable bbq - also known as 'dead easy and no fuss so ideal'.... good stuf longmanshort...top tip for heat...drink loadsa water and walk around in as little as possible...except keep the hat on..
all hail to might trout leader..even if longmanshort tried to bbq his relatives...
Not in sunny Leicester- another beautiful day!
How pleasded am I that I a)work at home and b) set my own hours?
Mmmmm... just breathe in that smugness- off for a walk in the park...
Well - It's Monday, I'm off work (for a change), and it's blazing. I'm off into my (admittedly cramped) back garden to catch some rays & prod my plants.
I might even have a beer later.
Good things to those who wait, eh?
Leicester? Sunny? Bwah-ha-ha... Nice to see y ou putting on a brave face, but I bet it was pissing it down with rain... As always...
Steve
Happilly not- It's been non stop sunshine all weekend- and today. Mmmm...
I think it was nice most of last week as well- but my memory's a bit crap...
Apart from having a very hot and very stressful weekend, I've given up smoking.
Still get the incredible urge to spark up, but determined not to give in to it. Willpower *will* prevail.
You stick with it Wils.
You can do it, Wils.
- Encouraging Trout
Oi! Trout! Back in the barby where you belong! And on your way, pop by the pot of parsley on the shelf!
Got a light Wils? The Trout is only pseudo evil- *I* am *evil* evil...
Woh ha ha haaaaaa!
go wils go wils.......
yeah it was hot here again today too, which meant no customers, well and rain means no customers, wind means no customers... in fact working for ones self & setting ones own hours is really great except it means working 24/7, neglecting family all for less than ?30 a week... so even a sunny day is sodding depressing,
wils can i start smokeing & use up all yur olde fags?
yur nearly bankrupt Bou.
aah, and again! Still, makes up for the sh*t weather of the past month! How have people spent this glorious weekend?
Working. Grrr.
- Trout
This glorious weekend, I got myself a brand spanky new putah, so I'm back online after a long absence. Yaaaaay!!! Not like you feckers missed me anyway :)
This weekends not a patch on last weekend though. ;)
Yer 'you don't get rid of me that easily' Joolz
hey we did so miss you, you'll have to trawl the olde threads to find the posts tho. yeah to new puters.
the weathers shite here this w/e , stormy & wet. But its not so bad cos I've had a few hours without violence , shouting or the police around. so thats nice.
Yay! Determination prevails, although thankfully, I haven't had the chance to miss you like the other boarders would have. :)
Strangely enough, last weekend was pretty brilliant for me as well. ;)
Btw, I've now been off the fags for 3 weeks.
Yay me!!! :)
And your breath is as fresh as a fresh thing ;)
"Lovely day?" "Lovely day?" My arse! It's horrible- at least 27 degrees here, and frankly that doesn't sit well with two elder goths trying to take their two week old gothlet for a stroll around the park. I have fac50 sunblock on, pvc trousers and NewRocks, so while the fault may be mine own, I still feel obligated to rant at the sky.
Bring on the rain, bring on the clouds, bring on the gloom.
I hate summer.
Steev
I cut the grass today, and it was bloody too hot to do anything!
Welcome back, Mal!!!
Thanks rac :)
Welcome back Malch. We were getting worrid what had happened to you both.
Is your new 'putah nice?
Rotts
err steev, i hate to break it to you but 2 week old sprogs arent very good at strolling, i suggest leaving it around a year til you try that again. Its kindof that the legs aint developed enough yet.
sorry bout that.
dark skinned, beach loving surfy types like me who live near the beach and spend much time on it will be very very p'd off if starts to rain just as this cracking sun has arrived!!
it aint right.
Ashen-faced, eyeliner wearing, pvc, silk-and-leather-clad, huge booted sports-phobics, like me and the lady, will be dancin' in the streets if it rains ANY TIME NOW.
But, hopefully, not before 9am tomorrow, cos I have a new job to go to in the morning, and I'm "not exactly sure" where it is (read: Haven't a sodding clue) and so will be wandering around like a drenched git if it did.
Steev
cool, so we can both hope for great weather tomorrow.
I have the day off to try and recover from this weekends excess so shall be sure to get out in it.
Good luck with the new job.
weekend i was working
which is normal for me. but im off the next two days. :~)
so its got to be a round of golf and a beer then, shower, sauna . then plenty of sun block as i sit by the pool and read this weeks 2000ad.
the second day.i may just relax and try to not to be as stressful as the firt one is planned to be.
BLISS
Up at 7.30 Saturday morning to push start the car in order to take it to the garage... followed by breakfast in Rock Steady Eddie's caf? (a brilliant old-style rock'n'roll joint). Later on, picnic in the park, later on HULK!
Sunday = nothing till evening, then BBQ mmm.
Good weekend.
Btw, I've now been off the fags for 3 weeks.
That's now 3 months. :)
