Title: Leo Baxendale feature in the Grauniad.
Post by: DavidXBrunt on 30 July, 2003, 04:17:41 PM
Leo Baxendale, creator of the Bash Street Kids, Minnie the Minx and much of what made the Beano great has written a piece for the Guardians G2 section today, and it's as good as you'd expect. He should get around to writing that autobiography he's been threatening us with for years.

There's also a more typically G2 feature on the comic to flesh it out. Just thought you might like to know.

Yeh good article.
In the same section (G2) on the 'Notes and Queries' page there is a question on the reason for the decline of British comics. There is a great reply, citing 2000AD as the great success story of the last 25 years !

For the tight-fisted among us, it's on the Guardian Unlimited site.

Yeah, that was asked a month ago now. Might be more answers on the on-line site.

Establishment? I'm nothing of the sort. In fact, I'm just nothing.

I'm lucky enough to own a copy of the 2nd Willy The Kid book - brilliant hilarious stuff, shame he's selling the compendium book for ?110 on his web site though.
