If you could help me out i would love you all so much!
Someone told me that when the 2000AD creators found out the Manic Street Preachers were doing a song for the Judge Dredd soundtrack they featured bassist Nicky Wire in one issue (even though it was Richey who was the 2000AD fan) and i need to know which issue it was! Nicky has also mentioned it in recent interviews so it must be true.
If anyone knows what issue number it was i would be soooo grateful! Thanks in advance

For the past three years, I have run a friendly competition between myself, friends and family, using the Yahoo Fantasy Football.
Last year I won.
This year, as well as hosting the game again, I've decided to start a special league for 2000ad/football fans.
So if your up to the challenge, and fancy a go. Here's what you need to do.
1) Get yourself a Yahoo ID
2) Sign up for Yahoo Fantasy Football
3) Create your team.
4) JOIN this group: Group ID# (22906) Password (tharg).
5) Introduce yourself on the messageboard there.
6) Manage your team!
Whilst you can join at anytime throughout this season. You'll only be up for a chance of winning if you join before Friday midnight!
Remember to introduce yourself and your team on the message board. Non-compliance could see you removed from the group!
Ah come on! Someone must know! Help me pleeeeeeeease!
Rings a very distant bell. Did he say whether it was a editorial featurette type thing or an actual cameo in a strip?
The only strip appearance that springs to mind is in Judge Dredd - Muzak Killer Live (Progs 837 to 839), which parodies Richie and the 4 REAL stunt, but that was around Summer '93 and a couple of years before the film.
In Zenith Phase IV the character Domino bears some resemblance (and a pink Manic Street Preachers tshirt) to Our Nicky.
The 'Richie' appearence was pretty much a p*sstake, but then what else would you expect from writer Garth Ennis?
But unless I'm mistaken Richie had a letter printed in the 'input' section. It's been posted up before, someone might have a link to it.
Nicky just said he was 'featured' so i dont know if he was in a strip or not.
Thanks for all your help anyway. If you think of anything else please let me know :)
Have a massive pile of my dad's comics to shift through now! Hurrah!
old comics in your dads loft?
silly old things. why dont you show us how much you love us all.
and tell us which numbers he has.
rule of thumb. anything below prog 100 will get you about 50 pence. here.
thats not bad for some 26 year rubbish. and clear some space for your dad.
consider it a service we would be willing to offer.post here. we will all help you make that space.
I really dont think daddy would be pleased if i did that! Sorry :p
Pay Devons Daddy no attention, he's just after yer progs...
I'm currently reading progs from 1995 in my back-prog re-reading mission, so I'll be keeping my eyes peeled for it. I'll let you know if I find it.
Ah, thank you :)
