I got my first issue of the megazine from my subscription the other day, and upon reading the xtinct strip and then closing the meg, I realised that I had no idea what had happened!
I had no idea what the strange 'things' were rambling on about, or what they were doing!
Can someone, anyone, please explain!
I even re-read it but that didn't help!
Here's what I read-
1. Last few humans left alive fight endless bloody wars over petty arguments. Mass slaughter of presumably genetically engineered soldiers ensues with no human casualties.
2. Mad mental raptor kills humans after surrender.
3. Human master orders death of all animals concerned.
4. Rightly pissed off officer class dinosaurs don't like this idea and decide to rebel. Look out humans!
Its basically a morality tale based around the old idea of don't send others to do what you won't do yourself. There's other nods to classic SF ideas as well eg The Island of Dr Moreau for one.
All done with flair, panache and humour. what more could you want?
