rebellion now seem to be concentrating on great basics.
weekly progs. monthly megs. decent specails. superb game, decent CDs,and so on.
which is not a bad thing.
all in all strong basics which we can all be thankful for.
agree with you on the whole stallone thing though.
I haven't heard that the movies went belly up. As far as I know they are still in pre-production with Shoreline. See link below
As you know, these things take time to get off the ground. The Dredd/Death game took years to make and so probably will the movies.

i was basing it on the fact that the orignal financing concept was to raise money with a sort of shares offer which failed.
being still on cards is a great thing.
The 2000AD Films plc share option thing was specifically not about financing the Shoreline movies.

The shares on offer for 2000AD films plc was independent of Shoreline. Shoreline are an American film company and they are making the films from seperate financing.
2000AD films was set up to make films based on other 2000AD characters but did not achieve adequate funding from private investors and so has been scrapped.
The two Judge Dredd films are still being made by Shoreline, as they are nothing to do with 2000AD films plc.
So lets beging the Judge Dredd film count down starting from now:

Shoreline Entertainment are an already existing film company - they have been working on making the 2 new Judge Dredd movies.
They're still working on it, maybe they'll finish making them one day, maybe it'll fall through & never see the light of day.... only time will tell.
2000AD Films was to be a new film company, which was planning to make other (non-Dredd) movies from the 2000AD characters. There was not enough money put behind the project, and so it isn't happening.
