Silent Hill is to get the movie make-over in 20004 with the director of Brotherhood Of The Wolf, Christophe Gans directing.

Now this could work.I'm not generally an advocate of games2films,but Silent Hill I think has the requisite premise.

Didn't really enjoy Brotherhood of the Wolf-thought the dubbing was atrocious,I was surprised it wasn't subtitled.

If they can recreate the spookiness of the game then this should be the best horror film in years!

Not played SH3 yet but seen a demo and it's spookier than ever. Genuinely scary!

Jeez, that's an even longer development cycle than the next Superman movie - "Coming to a cinema near you in 18,001 years time".  ;)

It was.  At least, the version I saw was.

The DVD also comes with subtitles or dubbed English options.

Tops film, btw.  Now *that's* how you make a costume drama/historical epic/conspiracy thriller/horror flick/kung-fu gypsy movie...

What I wan tto know is, how come when we do costume drama we get all those incredibly dull Jane Austen adaptions, but when the French do it, they get kung-fu gypsies and grand guignol?
