Funky - reminds me of the HB short "The Corpse". Ron Perlman was physically *perfect* for this role.

Here's another Hellboy pic. Looks like this pic has been mirrored as the glove should be on the right hand as the previous pic I posted.

God it looks like's he's being buggered by the ghost of Abe Lincoln! Perhaps it's not good to listen to Gay Bar on repeat late at night...

It's looking fantastic so far, really looking forward to this film especially sice Mignola's been heavily involoved in the making of the film. Quite possibly the very first film based on a comic book that actually gets the creator involved.
If only they did that sort of thing with that pile of poo that was the Dredd film:
"Uh um du Lur!"

Well, I'm not that motivated by the comic, but the character on film looks real which is a good sign.  Genuinely interested in this one.

++ is that ABE on his back there? ++

I wouldn't put money on it DD..

Could be one Tam O'Clannie from Killarnery from the short story The Corpse.

What I would put money on is that this comic/film tie-in should fair better than most simply because Guillermo Del Toro and Mike are good friends and judging by the introduction he wrote for the collected Conqueror Worm the last thing he'd want to do is louse up a project like this.

Big C - The script for the film of Ghostworld was co-written by the author of the comic (Daniel Clowes)

OK anime dosnt count but...

The chap wot wrote and illustrated all (three thousand pages?) of Akira also wrote and directed the movie. All of which is a mighty acheivment in my eyes...
