Just seen Once upon A Time In Mexico, pretty cool movie especially Johnny Depp.
But...I spent the whole movie looking at Danny Trejo thinking he would make a great Dredd. Look at that chin and lips. He's walked straight out of an Ezquerra strip.
oops!!!
Yeah, but he's only three feet tall.
Hey give the guy heel lifts.
It worked for Stallone.
But it didn't work for Stallone.
He was shite.
No, blank his eyes out, give him a shave and a perm - voila, Johnny Alpha!
I think there's more of a Cosmic Ray thing going on there.
my money's on Henry Rollins. He's got the chin, neck, physique, attitude, etc.
fred
bugger
hang on, here he is...
damn it. can't get this bloody image url doings to
behave itself.
last try
Yes, I know Stallone was shite but he's only two foot tall and he wore hell extensions, either that or he stood on a box.
Never thought of him before.
Inspired.
He's the guy in the tatoo gag in Jackass Movie isn't he?
Vin Diesel for Dredd. Actually, NO.
You know it makes sense
"Facial hair is the worst kind of vanity."
Surely Robert Patrick is the only person hunky enough to play Dredd? That gravelly voice, the manly chin- need I say any more...?
;)
My money is still on Ron 'Hellboy' Perlman to play Dredd as the guy excels when he is under loads of make up as in Beauty and The Beast.
And how about this lovely gentleman for Judge Giant?

At 6'3" tall and with that frame he is a dead cert for JD's best and perhaps only friend, or even his son (as seen in The Pit) and to add to that he can act too!
Marc
Christopher Judge? Can't say I agree with you 100% on the acting skills. Now as a director, sure...
Vote for Rollins! Fred's right, he's got the look as well as the attitude.
He's always been underused in films (Johnny Mnenomic, TheChase, BadBoysII,etc.), about time he got a big-time role. Shouldn't blow the budget too much either!
In response to Robert Patrick, he just isn't bulky enough, bit too thin!
Nick Nolte, for the chin plus he's about the right age .
I've said it before and I'll say it again. Matthew St. Patrick from '6 feet under' for Giant and Sarah Chalke from 'Scrubs' as Anderson.
That blonde mentler from Dawson's Crack has got the right jaw for Dredd.
Seriously though, Hugo Weaving is spot on. Look at him scowling in LOTR or Matrix. And look at the pic below, imagine Dredd in that pose.
