Not excited by Aliens v. Predator yet?
Maybe this interveiw with Paul Anderson will get the juices flowing?

I strongly urge anyone who has access to digitial channel BBC4 to watch a re-run of the classic series 'A Very Peculiar Practice' over Chrimbo.
As it says in the Radio Times 'one of the best things on TV ever'. No understatment there.
A series telling the bizarre & increasingly unearthly goings on at a UK University campus taken over by a new American Principal - "the forces of darkness came from over the water - backed by massive research funding" ....
Both hilarious, barmy and utterly brilliant, if you watch one thing this Xmas then watch this. I promise you you will enjoy it. Honest.
nb Bob Buzzard Rules !!
I'm not excited because it's gonna be crap.
Succinct :-)
Couldn't read the interview, I'm afraid - it refused to load in my browser. Was it reposted anywhere else?
Ya know, I read this interview and I have to ask... am I the only person who hated ALIENS and prefered PREDITOR 2 to PREDITOR? Oh, and I liked ALIEN3.
If he's taking these starting points then this movie will suck eggs big time... time will tell.
I liked Alien 3 it just could of been better(loved the dog design of the Alien and the chases in the smelter where it ran around the walls, very stylish)have to see how this turns outhopefully good, likely shit...

Like you I loved Alien 3, it was so depressing and British - all those grimy interiors and good, British actors like Charles Dance. Like you, I`m not holding my breath for Aliens V Predator. It seems like a very accounting-office driven movie.
hoo roo,
Floyd
i have liked all the aliens movies ut find it funny the way each director rips the others addition to the franchise to bits,
its a bit like the way the comic writers at marvel used to play games with each other (john byrne and chris claremont mostly here, they created whole story arcs affecting each others work on characters just to annoy each other)
aliens is the best standalone, alien is the scariest, alien 3 is most dramatic and the alien resurrection was the most stylish but each director tears up what the other has done
newt and hicks were killed off in alien 3 and bishop was brought back as being based on the creator of the corporation that wants the alien, then in resurrection - even ripleys contribution to the alien mythos is diluted as she is brought back unbelievably???
i reckon the android that wynona ryder plays is gonna make a come back in the next one, i think she could take over the franchise
im not holding my breath for alien vs predator, they did say it was coming after predator 3 but they seem to have shelved that now (maybe they will do that afterwards)
Well Paul Anderson's run of great Sci-Fi movies - Event Horizon, Soldier and Res-evil make him the perfect candidate to do AvP...
In la-la land.
It'll suck so much the exits in the cinema will implode.
Aliens Vs Predator works well in comics and games. Films? Maybe. If a halfway decent director was given a shot then yes. As it is? No.
Anyway, the fact that whenever Ridley Scott and James Cameron meet, they always wend up talking about making a new Alien film together is enough for me.
Aliens was good, but I did prefer Pred 2 to the original I have to say. And Aliens 3 has a bad rep - it could have been better but it was good as it was. I actually liked Event Horizon, but the man sucks in all other respects. AVP could have been a really excellent juices flowing scrap (like Freddy V Jason) but he's utterly the wrong man for the job. The plot sounds DIRE, and the trailer looks ok-ish. If the script thats floating around is to be believed (it fits with the apparent plot) then it'll just suck big time. Shame that...
I've just read the Siggy Weaver is signing on for Alien 5...as long as they kill her off.
Alien 5 could rock - Cameron says he really wants to do it once he's done all the stuff he's doing at the moment. He hates what has happened to the Alien universe and wants to bring them to earth, with siggy in tow. Might be a laugh!
does alien vs predator movie feature that indian woman (renegade) who becomes a predator, dark horse owns the rights to her and i hear thats whats been slowing the film down
have they cut her out completely???
Is that the woman in the Chris Claremont series? Never read that, but the covers were nice.
Bolt-01
yep thats the woman in the chris claremont stuff, she makes an appearance in a few things but has not been seen for a while, like i say i think dark horse is trying to say they own her???
