Title: for Bou, PVS and anyone else who can be bothered
Post by: BlackThrash on 03 January, 2004, 06:18:39 AM
Hiya mateys

Bou I uploaded the mp3 I did on my 8 track to a webspace.

PVS, the tracks I mentioned for your possible forthcoming CD are there for download.

For anyone else, these are tracks I recorded my self using a digital 8 track studio and a guitar...hope you enjoy them

Wotcha! I'm liking that 1st one, BT. Right up my particular street, that is! Needs Brody Armstrong or Dexter Holland on it IMHO. Actually, i think i may have something that would fit quite well. Is the track in use for anything? Want some words?

Hiya TankGrrl

Yeah some lyrics would be useful...

It's just tunes that I bang out when I'm feeling that way...

Hey Thrashster.

That's some ace guitar.  is that on the new baby?

Took me right back to my heavy-metal club , leather jacketed college days.

You can play.

I downloaded EYE and me thinks it's rather cool, this energy and sound kinda reminded me of The Damned!

Great stuff :-)

I can't play a note and all my tracks are done on my PC, but here's one of playful experiments... "THRASH"

I liked you Damned comparison Ed.Along with the Misfits and the Ramones they're one of my all time faves.

Your tune was great too Ed, kinda reminded me of killing joke/Xmal Deutschland

You're welcome and WOW Xmal Deutschland, haven't heard of them for years lol, saw them live supporting The Stranglers one time!

I'll give your other tracks a spin tomorrow BT, I'm DJing in half an hour (70's Disco!!!!)
But I always enjoy hearing things like this, great sound there with an 8 track!

you might consider checking out "Generation X" on my site another thrashy track.
(I must update my site one of these years)

Just got round to downloading one BT, and The Eye seriously rocks!

I'm not kidding, it really is damn good, if Rebellion fancies some hard rocking guitar on the next game they should give you a call :)  it would be mint listening to it while killing things, and is there really any higher praise than that.

Hey, I wish the last Iron Maiden album I bought (A Brave New World for my sins) had a track on as good as that!

No, grud help me, I bought Brave New World in a fit of nostalgic weakness, when I heard the decent Iron Maiden line up was back.  I did the same with ACDC and regretted it (they've never been much good since Bon Scott died).

While lyrics like 'Dying swans... broken wings' made me laugh, and singing 'Young Man' to the tune of 'Nomad' were endlessly entertaining, I just couldn't bring myself to think it was very good.  I still enjoy listening to the 80's albums in my own way, but I won't be buying the latest, sorry Maiden.

I know what you mean...the latest albums just don't have the *spark* that the old ones do - but seeing them live (especially for free - yay!) was still a great experience.

Certainly do matey!
me and my lovely bassist both think we've heard your band name somewhere before, but being a pair of wasters, we can't place it. Where bouts are you from and did u ever play portsmouth, brighton or southampton? Or possibly thirsk?

Also: Who did the original teenagers from mars and have u heard the buck-o-nine version?!

question time over! Keep up the good shreddin'!

Hiya Tanky

Although I now live on the Isle of Man, I used to live in Yorkshire, and we headlined Bradford Rio many times, also used to travel a lot and played quite a few gigs with the UK Subs.

The original Teenagers From Mars is of course by the mighty MISFITS from 1977 when Danzig was still with them.
As for the name Astrozombies, well, that's also the title of a Misfits song, as well as the title of an old film.

Bou scuttles off for the long journey north to get sufficient lemmings to power the rocket to that soviet mirror in the sky thing, to shine a light, to warm the mice which are crying & weeping with the strain inside the computer...

You've got a brass section... way cool!
Title: Re: for Bou, PVS and anyone else w...
Post by: Tanky on 20 January, 2004, 06:30:05 AM
Indeed we do! I just found out that the record label that liked us want us to ditch our beloved brass section in order to be signed. I say they can feck reet orf, they signed spunge for fecks sake (not very good ska band IMHO)so they obviously have no taste! Damn, foiled again.

btw, Bou, can i be in your book? I won't eat much and i'll kill loads of things with chainsaws and crossbows?!

can i be in your band ? i can't sing but could probably be taught to shout & scream quite well, and can't play nothing cept a bodhran & large cow horns, and can string words into poeyums, if not quite lyrics.
and i'm a mean hand at bump starting bandwagons..
