it depends on the job, doesn`t it? If you`re the president of some countries you have to either gracefully step down or change the constitution. If you`re Judge Dredd, you should keep going forever. If you`re the current PM of Australia, you should never have taken the job in the first place.
Happy anniversary anyway. Do you like the job?

sunnily yours,

Floyd

CU Krestel doesn't vote, hates politics..they're all hypocrites.

but if Howard didn't i'd never have had the joy of seeing him behave like a 5 year old as he passed the world cup to Martin Johnson.

That was priceless.

opps, one of those thread hijacking things just happened sorry Umpty.....I was at my last job for 6 years, large retailer, climbing the ladder as such, learnt how much the store manager got paid, bailed out in panic when I figured the amount of hours compared to sallary just wasn't worth it, now much happier in a small bussiness with the gaol of purchasing off my boss in a few years time(if I can get enough money together)...plus I get to spend most of the day here, thats gotta be a factor when deciding to change jobs for me now.

KNow what you mean by time for a change.

I was in my last post for six years and it can get a bit repetetive.

hope you get it your way.

Six years in March for me.

When I started I had no wife and no home of my own. Now I have both, but am also going grey. Which, at 29, is fecking shocking. Still, one of my mates is bald so it could be worse.

Absolutely - 'twas one of the reasons I didn't take the job I was offered last month.
I'm currently in my 23rd month at this company - so far my current maximum has been 24 months, so I should beat that now.

If you don`t vote and they`re all the same, why post? Yes, I would prefer Mark Latham to John Howard. Therej`s a long list of people I`d prefer to him on both sides of politics.
Off hand the only good thing he`s done that I can think of is to stop New Zealanders getting the dole in Aus. That`s small potatoes compared to his catering to racism and lying to Parliament.

ummm, sorry about the thread hijacking.
What have you decided about the job?

Floyd, all pollies lie must be in the job description. I dont usually get involved in politics "because" I dont vote therefor my opinions aren't really vallid as I had nothing to do with putting the current gov in and I wont have anything to do with the next one, I just thought I'd stick up for John Howard as I think he's done an OK(not perfect) job these last few years and I'm sick of people PM bashing.

all mps believe 'categorically' in the 'totality' of what they say at the time that they say it

(sorry had to say that - do u think that he knows what hes saying...

or is he just trying to confuse us???  heh)

Krestel, I`ve been out of Australia for a while. I didn`t know John Howard was being bashed by anyone else. It`s good to hear that he is,  and I`ll refrain from bashing him again here.

yours trying to make the world a nicer place (unlike some Prime Ministers I could mention),
