A truly remarkable creator and a truly great loss.

such people dont get recognitoin they should.one of the unsung heros of popular comic culture.worked on some fine titles it seems.
he was also DC president for many years after he retired and hepled steer the company
if u look on the credits of any DC comic the last two decades his name is there in the small print at the bottom
Yeah- there was some Kieth Giffen joke (probably Ambush Bug) about travelling to the end of time and the guy was still alive and *still* running DC!
very sad.
I remember him in a few of the Ambush Bug stories.
he was dcs version of still
but not as shameless at self promotion
heh
I remember hearing Julius Schwartz speak at a convention. He was very funny and self-deprivating about his acheivements and by the end i feel a legion of young fans, who hadn't really heard of this old man, realised they had heard a great man speak.
Very sad.

Yeah, I remember those Ambush Bug snippets of Julius wisdon. Two of his pearls that I live by are 'A Day without Doris is like a Kabuki without make-up' and 'The Wise man goes when he can, the foolish man when he has too'.
R.I.P. Never thought i would see the day. Great man and unsung hero.
