Just thinking of the 10 years of 2000AD video that was released years back. I would have thought a good 2000AD documentary movie would go down really well. Interviews with loads of creators etc.
Just a thought
Yep could be good..evolution of the charcters etc..an unexpurgated version though would only please me..warts and all..the good with the bad..absolutely no clips of Danny Cannons bastard offspring of a movie..I'd like to see something of how they go about commissioning stories too..
T.P.S
A look around the artwork vaults too!
I'd buy it for sure, good idea.
Ed
what like TPO in filum? yeah brill, i'd buy too, interviews, con scenes, pix, scens o how art created , yup
Good idea.
Even a movie taken by somebody wandering around Dreddcon, as that sort of thing seems to sell among Dr. Who fans.
"Whovians" :-)
Ed
I always preferred Who-ers, but then you couldn't call a fan from Newcastle that...
Steve
Didn't know there was a 10 year video!
On a dvd you could put all the covers for example.
Stuff like Dreddcon would be good for those of us who never went.
I'd buy it.
Well, I just thought it's the sort of thing that could be done at Dreddcons really, that one was done at one of the UK ICA's.
Depends if anyone wants to really.
Where can you get a copy of the 10 year video?
It was a documentary done by the speakeasy people, so e-bay is your only bet to get an original copy. I sold my original when I was hard up :(
What a fantastic idea!
I have the 10 year docu and it's not bad; good early interviews with a lot of the creators and editors, but no Wagner.
Wonder if it's something Bishop would consider doing?
Let's face it, video cameras aren't expensive, and video endiring is as simple as it's ever been, even getting a dvd made isn't going to be that big a deal.
Interviews with top creators would be fantastic. The 10 years of 2000AD one, was nicely put together for its time.
Any chance of running me off a copy?
Re.the DVD, or video; I'd buy it straight away.
Anyone know the costs of getting a DVD made?
i do!!!! ive made/burned a dvd of a film i have made! and it also has a stills section - cheaper than you think! is dxb the man to talk too? id be very interested in helping out in fact id love to.
excluding any labour costs that a company may charge you, I pay around 60p for a printable dvd..?10 for 100 cases, and paper and ink are cheap...
If I can help in any way lemme know..pvs is aware of my settup and abilities
Skank, I'll digitise the 10 years vid and try and burn a DVD of it over the weekend, if it works I'll let you know and you can send me a blank DVD. But I have been having problems with my analog video to digital converter lately so I can't promise anything.
Cheers Escubria,let me know.
How long does the 10 years video run for?
About an hour I think. TO be honest it might be worth chasing up the copyright owners and seeing if they'd do it as a DVD. It was Acme Press as part of Speakeasy, which was bought out by John Brown Publishing.
Any news on the DVD Escubria?
Can't get my converter to digitise the sound with the vision, it must be broke, so I might just have to do a straight video to video. I'll try it out during the next few days and let you know.
Vid to vid is cool.
Cheers.
