This really is a great find. It keeps on stopping working for me though, and  I'm wondering if we're slashdotting it something chronic. Maybe I'll sit down and read it all in one sitting once the attentions passed.

It's not ALL of it mind, just the first story...

if only the scans were clearer, never got into these old stories but looking at this site I started to read Kids Rule Ok, I can imagine the outrage at these strips in the 70s and I do love the ending to Kids rule, "come visit me when I'm a concillor", "lets all have a competition to rebuild" so believable its beli.

It'd be great if Titan or some other bright spark reprinted all of Action and Battle Picture Weekly. Instead of Apocalypse War....again and again....
Whatever happened to the promised 2000ad Prog by Prog reprints promised at Dreddcon 2 years back, I picked up the first 2 volumes there (printe...crooked,of course)

Yeah, sure, I would.

I've no problem with picking up some hookjaw scans, it's great tog et to read these things.  But to be honest, I'd like nice volumes that go on my shelf that I can read at leisure. It really isn't the same experience.  A scan is the only way to get hold of this stuff really, beyond paying the silly prices asked for old british comics.

Most people have already read most of the 2000AD reprint volumes they buy.

Yeah, since joining the fold I've bought maybe 30 or 40 collections and only two of them were new to me.

And as they were 'Necronauts' and 'Halo Jones' I'd say I was on a winner there. But when it comes to 2k it's tried and tested material that I tend to open my wallet for.

Exactly, this sort of thing probably only makes  a collection more likely.  The bigger the potential audience, the more likely someone will re-issue it.

btw, this has nothing to do with my JAWS fixation, I simply loved the story as it unfolded back in the day, seeing these pages again this week was wonderous, let's see it back on paper again and let the support start here....

Guys.....yes it is only the first story....doing the paradise island thing once i get all of death game 1999 up and running.

trouble with all this quality stuff is it takes up soooooo much webspace and takes forever to up/download, so getting free hosting space is a mare.

the scans are done at 300% and then reduced, but as my issues are a bit yellow, some of the text fades away and by the time i've done some  whitening and file compression to get them to a manageable size, the quality tends to suffer a little. sorry.......!!

still....nice to see people are reading it. thanks for the site attention again there marbles...got me any more johnny red online yet??
