Rebecca Levene was the editorial force behind a lot of the New Adventure novels, so is basically a heroine of Doctor Who fans everywhere. She's responsible for an unbeaten run of quality books and I'm very excited to see she's writen a Stronty novel. I expect great things...

Though really people like Paul Cornell or David Bishop should be amongst those explaining who she is...

Thanks for the top review. Comments noted.

Just FYI, Rebecca's chief cult creds are that she was the editor at Virgin for their Dr Who, Blake's 7 and some of the original Judge Dredd novels too.

I have never read any fiction deived from a TV/ comic source (well, except for Target Dr Who books when in primary school). Are they any good? Any recommendations?

okay, this could be debated, but i really liked war of the daleks. great fight scene in the last half, and the daleks come acroos as insanely well organised with more back up plans than. um. something with a lot of back up plans.

Unfortunately, at least five of those are out print and likely to remain so(the ones produced by Virgin, since they lost their licence to print them). However, if you're curious, the BBC have resurrected some of them as E-books - take a look.

Just War - Lance Parkin (I think)
Storm Harvest - Perry and Tucker
St. Anthony's Fire - Mark Gatiss
All Consuming Fire - Andy Lane

Are all also great.

And thanks for the comments about the review!

If you can't be bothered to read my review, then you should read the product description on this link.
By some cosmic coincidence, it appears to be work for blood word what I wrote!
