Second assignment: The Life and Times of Johnny Alpha. Post what you find out on this thread. If you have dates please use them. If you don't have a date, try to associate the data with a story. Also please include your source for the data.
2150 ? The Great War. Two thirds of the population of Earth are wiped out in a devastating nuclear conflict. The reasons for this conflict remain obscure. Many of the survivors are riddled with mutagenic Strontium 90 fallout. Other mutants have already been created by previous wars and form an underclass of 'muties' or mutants, held in contempt by unmutared 'norms' or normals.
Nelson Bunker Kreelman becomes one of the most vocal Members of Parliament. His rabid anti-mutant rhetoric convinces many that the mutants are the cause of many of the problems in the world. A series of severe anti-mutant laws are put into effect.
Johnny Alpha is born John Kreelman in Salisbury, Wiltshire (and he should thus be equipped with a Comedy Accent (West Country Yokel-type), a fact shamefully ignored by Big Finish). The son of Nelson Bunker Kreelman and Diana Kreelman, his mutated eyes are kept a closely guarded secret.

2155 ? Durham Red (Durham is apparently her married surname, Red is a nickname ? he real name is Lucy, surname unknown) is born in Milton Keynes. Her need to regularly feed on human blood means that she is feared even by other mutants.

i seem to recall a tale with her talking of the age when her parents could no longer sustain her needs and died from feeding her with their own blood., which would offer another date.
i have not got access ot my progs, but its a starting point of reference for any one to look into.
could also be all an alcholic memory with no truth what so ever.

'Island of the Damned', prog 762 - 773. During a flashback, a thirteen year old Red sees Johnny Alpha for the first time, just after he escapes from Upminster. Johnny is 17 at the time, making Red five years younger.
