No.... No, I still think it'll suck. When you consider the cruddy director and the cruddy story.
That makes me go 'ooh', but mainly because it's the two creatures. I like the combat we see, and I like the way they've made it very actiony. But seriously, the plot sucks total ass....

With one crucial character's death scene - there being too much mayhem going on - they obviously could not to overdubbed his lines without it sounding real bad... so they just blanked them out, Big Brother style...

Hopefully the story follows the first AvP comic in some way.
That I remember being actually quite good.
The TV edit Aliens i saw didn't get rid of the long drawn out "F********k" that Hudson utters when he hears how Burke would have savaged their lifepods on the way home. It's quite missable though.

One of the biggest flaws with the plot is, as said above, that it's set on earth. WHY??
On the other hand, I could really get into a story abut Predators and their hunting n the past on Earth. Very cool stuff....

They could do that. Of course, two conditions would be necessary. 1) the predators would have to have brought the aliens to Earth with them and release them to be be hunted; and 2) all the aliens would have to be dead by the end of the the story and no evidence of them could be discovered so that their existence could never be proved and Ripley's encounter with the alien would remain the first sighting.

Well Ash is an older model (And possibly an espionage based one), so maybe they weren't being based on famous people by that point.

Henriksen DID claim to be the creator of the androids at the end of three, I imagine it was to convince Ripley of the importance of playing along with them.
Shame that in resurrection they never got Henriksen to play a sympathetic 'nurse' character for Ripley. Could have been interesting.
