It did seem a bit more lightweight than usual!

This is the first prog I've bought in a couple of years(?)... The promise of Rogue/Red bought me back to Tharg's mighty organ. I had the same thought, at first I thought the page count had been reduced but it must be the thickness of said stock.

I still have the audiobook of 'The Apocalypse War' kicking about somewhere.  It was very good!!

Any guesses which ones will be adapted?

I have fond memories of these BBC adaptations. They were on Radio 1 I believe, around drive time? I bought them later on cassette.
The Day The Law Died and the previously mentioned Apocalypse War.

I might be in the minority but Vector 13 would make a nice collection...

The thing that's really put me off this run is the sheer number of volumes for individual series. I couldn't care less for Slaine, some of Strontium Dog, same goes for ABC Warriors, Rogue etc. I think it's much more exciting when we get shorter single books or 1-2 volumes of other stuff.

My Ro-Busters book is patchy - I thought it was my eyes on first glance but some parts definitely appear washed out/faint.

They do seem to have some serious printing issues though. I just read through Armitage: City Of The Dead, and the print in my copy shifts from deep blacks on one spread to a much lighter on the next alarmingly often. Not sure whether to ask for another copy. (Anyone else had this with that book?)

Christ, that cover is a work of art. I didn't think it possible but It's even lovelier in the flesh.

Echo the comments about the spine artwork. It doesn't really feel encompassing like the Mega Collection. Needs far more characters and change of colour palette!

I've got a special place in my heart for Finn, as 'Interventions'(?) was just kicking off in the prog when I started my 2000AD journey. Plus it helped that Finn looked badass and the Witch/Sorceress was always in skimpy clothes.

I picked up the first Finn stories in a Classic 2000AD issue, and seem to remember a later series which was something like 'Season of the Witch'?

I'm a fan of Slaine, but feel like it's gone rather off the boil these days so would like to see Finn make a return really...

Annoyingly I can't find the Meg this month anywhere (not even the faithful London Victoria store has any). Will have to be a trip to Forbidden Planet I think

There's an episode of The Young Ones in which Rik tries to convince Neil that he was the most popular person in his college class and "everybody thought I was great."  I'm reminded of that every time Pat goes on about how incredibly popular everything he ever wrote was and how those fascist editors were wrong, wrong, wrong.

I quite like both Crusades. The Dredd one is easily the best of Me & Gwant's longer efforts on the character.

There were two Crusades? I have a soft spot for the first(?) one, around prog 921 I think it was. My first prog! Previously my dad had bought me an American floppy that included Robo Hunter, followed by a Meg (The Tenth Planet/Wilderlands)... I still remember the cover strap 'meet the Inquisitor this prog!

Not central per se, but Victoria station Smiths had them in a metal stand when I visited on Thurs. I managed to grab the last but one copy, must have been popular by looks of things?
