The main thing i liked about Sin City was Miller's unique art. I don't think a movie's really necessary.

I thought Millar's American stuff was alright for a while, then i realized that he writes all of his characters the same way(they all act assholes and try too hard to be cool). Plus all of his comics are filled with really forced pop culture references.

For those of you that don't know anything about the character, this should explain a lot.

As a fan of the character.....this looks pretty damn good.

The funniest thing about the Lundgren movie is that it looked like they painted on his 5 o'clock shadow.

yeah, some punk kid judge that was an "expert" had to tell her that the REALLY, REALLY Blurry video couldn't be admissable as evidence because it was of such low quality.

When it came down to it, the movie probably turned out exactly the way STALLONE wanted it to turn out. Stallone was one of the biggest stars in the world, Cannon was some guy who directed an indy film.

Anyway, Yeah i'm sure Cannon is loaded these days. Stallone on the other hand....he's currently in Direct to Video-ville with likes of Jean Claude Van Damme and Dolph Lundgren.

you could say that Danny Cannon experienced more success than Stallone after this movie, he went on to Develop a very popular TV show called "CSI"

On one hand i do like Stallone and it's a pretty decent stallone movie. On the other hand, as loyal representation of the Dredd character it's pretty much crap. However, Visually i thought it was a pretty good representation of 2000ad/Judge Dredd(The judge costumes, Megacity, The ABC robot, the lawmaster, the cursed earth, mean machine....)

People talk about how the movie was ruined once Stallone took off the helmet. What kept it from being a Judge Dredd film is that THEY TOOK THE LAW AWAY FROM HIM.

That's what Dredd is and what he always has been- The law, a street judge. The first 15 or so minutes when Stallone is actually a judge is the best part of the film. When you take that away, what you get is a stallone buddy comedy/action movie with Diane Lane as the love interest, and a song on the end credits that sounds like it belongs at the end of a Rocky movie.
