The only point in having Bane in it would be if he broke Batman's back - this is the reason that Bane is still a popular character - his total defeat of Batman is his defining feature. I think the Knightfall saga is one of the best, but there are problems with fitting it into one film.

I was there! I was in Istanbul to witness Liverpool FC become Champions of Europe!! I just got back. It was fucking amazing - what a comeback. We were distraught at 3-0. I saw a Liverpool fan leave at half time (oops).  Unbelievable stuff. Going to see the trophy paraded in the streets of Liverpool tonight.

Got it a while ago but only played first level (short on ps2 time), agree that it is excellent, the action, atmosphere, music all great - real greek myth/ Harryhausen feel to it.

Good defence of DC there Adventurer, nice one.DC has the best universe in my opinion. I feel that there has been some poor stuff over recent years, but I think that they are going the right way with stuff like Identity Crisis, those all-star ones mentioned, GL by Johns, and I like the look of this 12-part story in Detective. But I think that there has been a lot of poor Batman stuff in the last 5 to 10 years - I thought Hush was utter shite, for example. But I really enjoyed Nightwing by Dixon ( issues 1 - 70).

i been thinking similarly - maybe all this been said before, but 2000ad seems to be getting older with us, not picking many kids up (not surprising when it's not suitable). Round my way you never see it in any shops. At all. Will 2000ad one day be aimed at 70 - 90 yr olds (Incontinence mega-epic) or will it die from not picking up enough new readers?

I like a bit of swearing sometimes as it adds to the realism - reminds me of the brookside video with swearing on it - Barry Grant's first words  in the video were (screamed)- "Yer fuckin dickhead!!". In that moment it seemed like Brookside had become much more real.
p.s. Some fucking good swearing in the Punisher lately.

Would like to agree with earlier sentiment that it is a good idea to lurk for a while first and discover personalities. This thread and others (especially ones started by newbies) tend to tell you quite a bit about certain people........

I really hate those friggin adverts....you can be reading an important page ie. the reason Hal Jordan went mad was because.....BUBBLICIOUS NEW FLAVOURS (ooh nice colours(US adverts MUCH more colourful than UK ones, more distracting)). Hang on, wasn't I just reading about one of the most important DC developments in years, now have to go back and read last page again...rrrrrrrrrrr....

I am no expert, but environment suitable for life might not always be the same, Max - e.g. we have intelligent aquatic life (dolphins) as well as ground-based life (humans). Without other planets with life on to study, we cannot be sure of what type of environments are out there, and what lifeforms can survive in them.
Also consider that we alter our own environment and ways of surviving, and adaptations occur because of it - eg. human teeth theorized to have changed when started eating cooked food.
Also adaptations occur in response to competition from other lifeforms - e.g. alien might have odd weapons/ defence mechanisms on body.
