Film Discussion / Re: DREDD reviews. (SPOILERS!)
09 September, 2012, 01:04:19 AM
Went to see the 2D showing in Scarborough, Saturday afternoon. There were only 3 people in the audience plus 1 staff member! Bit worrying... I hope it picks up over the next few days.

I'm not sure why, but there were no adverts or trailers before, just straight into the movie... nice!

Favourite bit of the movie - When Anderson fires her gun up under the chin of that guy and through the top of his head!  Awesome!

Least favourite bit - cutting way too soon when Anderson unzips! Heh!

Seeing the movie has put me in a good mood, and I might actually continue with the Bolland style Anderson picture I started well over a year ago in the creative common section.

Film Discussion / Re: Happy Dredd Day!

Happy Dredd Day everyone!

I'll be watching at the local fleapit in 2D I'm afraid, as 3D doesn't do anything for me (dull colours, headache etc).  Still, seeing Dredd in any form is the way to go, so can't wait!  Enjoy it guys and roll on with a sequel!

I like the story. And I particularly like that picture of Anderson firing the gun. Need a bigger version immediately!

I'm seeing all these great full length studio shots of Karl in his uniform.  But where's all the shots of Olivia?  I'd love to use a clear shot of her as a wallpaper!

Hi everyone. I haven't worked on this in a while. I guess I'm getting sick of looking at the thing. Anyway, I've finally managed to do a bit more!

I was in a bit of a quandary over the boot design. It seems Bolland gave Anderson two different types of boot over the span of Judge Death and Judge Death Lives. So I've done a mix of the two - the heels from the first part (sexy) with the big toe caps from the second.

Cheers!

Ok, so I've done the belt. Now what? The hands and gun look like they're gonna be difficult!

Now using photobucket, so hopefully no surprises!

Thanks for letting me know. I thought imagevenue were clean. The next preview won't be using them!  :o

Creative Common / Judge Anderson - update
25 January, 2011, 11:25:13 PM
Hi Guys. I'm so lazy I've only just gotten round to doing more on the project!

As you can see, I've changed the belt buckle to a Bolland style one, and added one side of the belt. At this rate, it should be done by 2014...  :D

You can see the original hand with gun that I have to replace. I somehow have to find and adapt a gloved hand and Lawgiver Mk1 at roughly the same angle. I do like to make things hard for myself!

Click the preview for actual size this time round. Cheers!

Hmmm. I think you're right about the head size. Although the whole body is actually a real photo, and I lined up and sized the head over the original! Better not tell the original model... she'll be a bit annoyed! It's all layered anyway so I can tweak to my heart's content later.

Creative Common / Judge Anderson - a work-in-progress
12 January, 2011, 10:07:31 PM
Hi Guys. Just thought you would like to see my work-in-progress Photoshop work of a Bolland style Judge Anderson.

Basically I've sourced bits from all over the place, mashed them together, and then gave them a workover. As you can see, I've still got both gloves, Lawgiver Mk1 and belt to do. If I can source some good boots I'll continue further down, as it's a full figure.

There's lots I still want to tweak to make it more like the Bolland version, such as belt buckle wing shape, and maybe bigger pads etc. Can't decide whether to leave the suit black, or add a slight hint of blue in the lighter areas. I used Debbie Harry's face as I've heard Anderson was based on her!

Hope you like, and I'll try do more soon!
