Help! / A PS2/MAC question for clever Computer Droids!
28 January, 2007, 09:32:32 PM
Hi,
I need to get reference off a PS2 disk (Document of Metal Gear).
I'm hoping there's some way of hooking it up to my Mac so I can screen grab stuff....

Is this just wishful thinking on my part?

All help greatly appreciated...

News / TOM FRAME - OUR DROID
14 July, 2006, 10:14:54 PM
I'm sorry to inform you all that Tom passed away this morning, at 7AM, on the 14th of July.
His son was with him at his side.
Tom was a truly lovely man, a real character, a great friend to many of our favourite Artists and Writers, and one of our longest serving Droids.
It'd be really nice if we could acknowledge his often unsung contribution to our favourite Comicbook.
A letter to the Nerve Centre perhaps...
I'll try and help arrange a tribute to this Comic Great in the proceeding week.
Good bye Tom, see you at the bar.

Do you any of you fine people have an image of Judge Pal?
My feeble filing system has rendered my search.... fruitless ( and Pal-less..)
Thank you, thank you, thank you...

News / COMIC SHOWCASE Closing down..
11 June, 2006, 10:06:46 PM
I'm sure London based Boarders may already know, but just in case I thought i'd mention it...

COMIC SHOWCASE on Charing Cross Road is closing down next Saturday, 17 June.
Paul Hudson has run Showcase since 1980 (no mean feat for a small business), and to lose one of our Flagship Comic Emporiums is a real blow.
Unfortunately the Council doubled the rent, and relocation is to expensive.
Myself and various other long time Showcase browsers will be there in the afternoon of the 17th to have a little wake for the shop, and generally wish Paul luck.
Drop in, say bye to Paul, truly a friend of Galaxy's Greatest..
and a few beverages may be consumed...

22 December, 2005, 07:53:41 PM
I've just spoken to the good people at PlayLounge and unfortunately due to Staff problems the ZARJAZ Exhibition will be closed from Friday Evening the 23rd of December to Jan.3rd.
BUT.....
I'm picking up the keys as I have a number of friends visiting London (Umpty!), and they'd like to see the show.
I'll try and arrange therefore some....'Private Viewings' for interested parties.
Please email me direct, and if there's enough interest (through my Profile page), I'll try and accommodate (family plans permitting!)

General / JUDGE DEATH by Darkhorse Comics' Guy Davis
20 March, 2005, 09:39:59 PM
Guy Davis, the art ninja responsible for the BPRD miniseries, The Marquis and Sandman Mystery Theatre sent me this Judge Death Illo.
I'd love to see him doing some covers for 2000AD. It'd be good to steal one of their artists for a change!
I've posted a couple of his other sketches up at www.comicartfans.com, a great site. Check ot the galleries, there's some great stuff.
