just checking thru a few back progs

is it just me or does clint langley have a thing for demons

also DINOSTY - its not very good but im not sure what to rate it,
a 3 bcos its absolute pants or a 5 bcos its the best thing in the progs its in

electrowerkz paintball games - this came up in the same conversation with pyro

they used to advertise in 2000AD, apparently a derelict car park converted in to multi storey post apocalyptic war zone

paintball armour etc supplied

unfortunately i was never old enough to go to this one either (over 18s only)

they started about the same time as AVP on jaguar was released and i think the game was launched but cant remember now

u dressed up as a marine in an aliens type environment

im not very old yet, but its getting increasingly harder to get my cv onto 3 pages

is this a lot of jobs??? (i have walked out of 3 major jobs this year which is a record even for me)

how come we get to vote on old toxic characters but there are no ex crisis stories on the profiles

anyone of a site or some reference material where i can get the creators of this briliant picture library series accordin to title and issue, i think alan grant did the mikal r kayn stories and i know that alcatena started on them as well before toxic from an interview but is there anywhere else?

ok so we know that sean connery isnt going to be doing another film for a while but is it any good (or has this feud between star and director killed the film as well) - i might go and see it but if not i will wait till dvd comes out

i used the 80s eagle and thought it was brilliant in general, i especially liked the toy adaptations stories like manta force, linkits (which was brlliant), computer warrior, the new dan dare and stuff like that.
i used to get this and eagle evey week, i tried tiger but didnt like the sports mix of stories and found some of the other dc thomson titles very boring in their layout
which brings to my question - there was a story based on the roadblasters toy line / computer game but which came first???

does anyone know if toxic continued after issue 31 as i remember in an interview with one of the creators in comics world, it was stated that numbers continued to fall below 10,000 up to issue 43
were these issues subscribers and specialist shop only or was he talking about thats what the figures would have been if theyd carried on producing it
TOXIC was a gerat comic which featured ACCIDENT MAN, SEX WARRIOR, MAKABRE, BRATS BIZARRE, BOGIE MAN, MARSHAL LAW and so on but the fact that all stories were creator owned and no one could agree to anyhting led to the comics downfall
pat mills came back to work for 2000AD , simon bisley went to the usa and made so much money he couldnt be bothered to work again
most of the charcaters were picked up by dark horse too

is it just me or does anyone else remember the rumours about a ROGUE TROOPER starring KURT RUSSELL - hands up whos willing to bet that they pulled the licence because it had nothin to do with the comic strip (or the film makers panicked and renamed it after the JUDGE DREDD debacle)
the similarities are incredible (apart from the blue skin of course but that would be too much to expect from hollywood, could also be a few elements of universal soldier in there too)
