Creative Common / Artist needed for three page anthology
25 February, 2016, 07:43:43 PM
Hello, I'm searching for an artist who would be willing to collaborate in the making of a three page anthology (already given the 'get-go').
The anthology itself contains some abstract visuals; Hence, I would prefer it if the interested party could provide some examples of their art, and some examples of previous work (which is not necessary, but definitely not frowned upon).

Anyway, thanks for at least reading the post.  :)

Creative Common / The monster mash
17 January, 2016, 12:27:09 PM
Since I write horror stories, I thought it would be informative to find out what truly horrifies the masses. Hence, I'm asking anyone and everyone: what character are they most afraid of? and why?

Help! / What year is it? WHERE'S CARL?!
19 December, 2015, 09:00:37 PM
CARL!

all joking aside, I was wondering what 2000AD's policy on explicit content was, and if a writer could submit a future shocker across multiple parts (each with it's own twist). I only ask because I'm slowly building towards modern 2000AD stories through the dredd collections, and I don't want to accidentally spoil some of the older stories, hence, I haven't read any modern future shocks. I understand Alan Moore spread and connected his stories together through the alebard (sorry, I've probably butchered that name), the two storey brain stories.

Also, I would state I posted this in the general section as I thought it would better fit with the general's description, as apposed to creative's description.

Creative Common / Creative team assemble!
17 December, 2015, 11:33:45 PM
Hello, I am an aspiring writer, and upon scouring the internet for precious publishers that allow submissions from writers, I found that a majority of publishers want a creative team premade. Hence, I've decided to search for other aspiring artists, colourists, and letterers, who also wish to be able to achieve their very best and to more importantly raise their hand in a crowd of homologously ambitious individuals. (Now I would like to say my apologies now for the most likely grammatical monstrosity I have created in this post, but in my defence, I am currently rushing to post this plea for a dynamic partnership, due to time constraints.)

If you wish to partner with me (first of all, you're a saint), please create an image from one of the descriptions below (which should give you an idea of my usual descriptions of characters or surroundings):
A man of noble armour sits amongst the moisture of a dim dark cave, in a session of contemplation that reflects the horrors he has seen and experienced in the past few hours, marked only by the dripping blood on his traumatised face. His red decorated armour, that now lacks a symbol in the centre due to a tear across his chest, is nothing in comparison to the viscous blood that marks every surface of his violated, uncleaned body. The only aspect of this noble man's body that's pure is his reflective, tearful eyes of a once long forgotten innocence that marked his previously simplistic, luxurious life. His broken helmet beside him, a symbol for the loss of his identity and self-meaning, and his bloody sword brandished, ready for a fight. The man once known as Sir Fredge is now a broken, lost man. (Because the description isn't presented with the rest of the script, it should be noted that this character is a knight.)

Or:
Negrath, the orc, is a bellicose brute of savage proportions, shown by his rotting grotesque trophies scattered across his unhygienic body (add a white rabbit along with the other trophies, this is in order to reference a character (Lennie from 'Of Mice and Men') that influenced the development of Negrath) . His eyes, dull as his blood saturated stone axe, and his 'recycled' helmet alongside his sharp, blackened, rotting teeth are the only distinguishable features of his horrid war scarred face.

Notes:
-This was posted on the 17/12/2015.
- I don't usually write fantasy scripts, but this was a special case as it merged with a horror theme. In fact, most of my scripts, at the moment, are either horror themed or a full blown horror story.

If you have any questions about this post, please feel free to message me the name of a usable email, due to the fact I don't have the capability to personally message on the 2000AD site.

Thank you for, at the very least, reading this post.  :)
