General / The Firsts "Lawgiver" - Fargo's Era
30 November, 2009, 05:22:27 PM
I had some free time, and since i was thinking about Christmas and Trees and turkeys and stuff, i have a thought about the Fargo's Era "Lawgivers".

I wanted to make a blueprint of them form many time and finally i made it.

In case you don't remember the subject, i made this picture, so you don't have to search for the Old Progs.

2031 is the year when the Judges hit the streets for first time. I have two "-" one on right and one on the left. The left is for the year the gun was created (unknown) and the right for them time the gun was retired (Also unknown.

The gun looks like a Beretta PX4 Storm, Five Seven and HK USP or Mark 23 with the LAM. Actually, is seems to be closer to each of the real guns from time to time, so it was a bit hard to figure out how it "really" is.

This is a "raw" image of what i think will look like in "real".

You can edit it, change it, or do whatever you like with it to make it be closer to your view of the First Lawgiver and i will greatly appreciate it if you share your thought's and views with me.

General / Lawgiver Mark I Prop
29 August, 2009, 12:29:06 AM
Maybe you remember that i wanted to make one.

Took its time and caused some headaches to figure out how i will make it and how it can "work".

So here it is.

Remember, this is only my third Prop i ever made, is painted in hand by a brush an a paint i made with a no-glossy white and glossy black and parts are worked in hand with the only rare help of Dremel and drill. Most work done buy saw, files and sandpaper. :?

I know, the quality is not good.
Self phone camera...

Images.

Unpainted and unglued parts.

Front part with the barrel on.

First Paint

Parts and and "hard pilot template" of the fire selector.

Finished, no magazines or parts.

Fire selector close up. Parts on. Not that the dial "windows" are not painted. They are reflecting red light! Also the trigger was a bit damaged during paint job, and i fix it a bit later but i liked the effect and let it that way. ;)

Lawgiver and Magazines.

Lawgiver and primary magazine on.

Lawgiver with primary and auxiliary magazine on. (Magazines are not straight, that was fixed later)

Front View (And the box i kept the parts on during the building process)

Back View

Grip close up. Notice the Velcro that used to made the parts comfortable when holding it

Another close up to middle section of the Lawgiver. The gold outlined part is where the name of the User Judge goes.

Lawgiver though barrel sight.

And finally the back view.

Functions:
Removable primary magazine.
Removable auxiliary magazine.
Movable Fire selector dial.
"Working" Trigger (makes a "click" when pressed

(It can't hurt a mosquito, unless you use the prop as a mosquito crusher.)

Data:
Lenght: 36 cm.
Weight: almost 500 grams

Suggestions / Origins Of The Dark Judges
26 November, 2008, 03:45:07 PM
I will like to see a story, with many details of the Dark Judges lives, before the transformed in to their current undead-ghostly forms.

How was their World before the Judgment?
How his Judges where?
What drive Judge Death and the others to the madness?

The story must enlight every detail from the time Judge Death take his Decision to Judge Everyone for the crime of living.
And what was there names before? The same or something else?
We know that the citizens of his world was humanoids, and maybe speak English, because of the Badge Names and the words of the Dark Judges when they came o Mega City One for first time.
Is their universe a Parallel Universe of the Dredd's Universe? Is the Deadworld the America?
Who the Dark Judges became Unded and can control their ghostly forms to possessed other living or Dead bodies? They where Psi Judges Maybe?

I image every dramatic moment of their world before the Judgment and how many people died under their injustice. Have they really trust their Judges? Was the Judges before the Dark Judges Cruel like them, or where like the Judges of Mega City?
They are only a few Dark Judges, so what happened to the others? The follow them and they cant be ghostly after they died, or exterminated by the Dark Judges fighting against them?

Off Topic / Power Of A T.A.D
21 November, 2008, 12:37:56 AM
The T.A.D.s

Total Annihilation Devises.
The retaliation Super Weapons of Mega-City One used in the Apocalypse War.
Each capable of letting only a black hole twice its size of East-Meg One. If had hit in target...

Twenty five of those Devastating Weapons lunched with order from Judge Dredd.
They sucked inside the Apocalypse Warp and end up in Another Dimension, i a peaceful world.

They explode, and the Earth Shatter!

I hope in Real World we will see this Weapons only in the old Progs and our dreams, or more correctly our nightmares...

I am curious since i read the Apocalypse Wars, how much powerful a Weapon like this is.
The biggest so far Thermonuclear weapon exploded, was the Soviet Hydrogen Bomb "Tsar Bomba" detonated on October 30, 1961 11:32, in Novaya Zemlya.

The flash from the explosion was seen 1.000km away, and the mushroom cloud raised up, 40 miles ii to the Sky.
Third degree burns caused 621 miles away from ground zero.

For more see the Links:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tsar_Bomba
http://www.damninteresting.com/?p=214

Tsar Bomba was "only" a 50 Megatons Bomb...

So, how powerful it might be a T.A.D ?

Welcome to the board / Hello
27 September, 2008, 02:58:21 PM
Hello everyone!
I am Spartan375 from Hellas.
(For those who don't know, Hellas is the official name of the country called Greece in English.)

I like Judge Dredd stories because Dredd is a real Hero. He doesn't have state of the art power armor, mutated DNA, or allies superpowers like others. He is a human, but he is something more, he is Mega-City 1 Judge. Every time and every second is ready to fight the crime. He has a strong character and even when he is hurt or all odds is against him, he is still the Judge Dredd.
I believe that heroes like Dredd has much to say to any human. The whole Dredd's universe has many allegories, to advise and give examples. It reminds me ancient Hellenic Tragedies.

Unfortunately, 2000AD comics, never come to Hellas. When i asked in news stands, press agencies and bookstores but they looked me like i was an alien...
First meet with Dredd was with this 1995 movie. But it was to bad, and failed to show the Dredd's world and his personality . It was made with the style "its cool, put it in". So many things was mixed and messed up...

Anyway, the years passed and one Uncle of me was is England, and he was bought some progs. Later he give them to my to read them, I was 15 years old then.

Now i am here and i hope to have good conversations and exchange of opinions.
My best wishes to The World's Greatest Comic, to all of its readers and the readers of its forum!
