Books & Comics / Re: Garth Ennis War Stories
27 August, 2016, 07:57:12 PM
The thing I liked about Vertigo War Stories was that the stories were pretty much self contained. If memory serves i think the dynamite stories kind of follow on in each book. Ennis can write really powerful stuff when's he's on top form-one of my favourite writers. Will check out World of Tanks!

I enjoyed the 2000ad article ,it's always nice to see the Galaxies Greatest mentioned in other mags.  I'd definitely like to see more of this in future issues. The whole mag was enjoyable tbh with lots of nerdy fun stuff in it.  The Tomytronic also brought back happy memories! I'll probably buy the next issue as well..

I loved the 2 Vertigo books and would definitely recommend them. The stories are excellent and many of the artists are from 2000ad. I have yet to read the Avatar books but I would definitely upgrade to hardcovers if ever they came out. Battlefields by Ennis is also a very good war series I think that was published by dynamite and I got them all in hc.

I'm interested to see what rebellion would do with Charleys War. The titan hardcovers are really good...

No  I don't like it. I thought the older version was easier to read on my phone but this to me looks a bit of a mess...doubt I'll visit it much now.

Books & Comics / Re: Whats everyone reading?

Just finished the first two Goon library editions and really enjoyed 'em..the artwork alone pops out of the page and the next stories are meant to get darker in tone. Its also funny and touching...would recommend this!

Hi there from a long time lurker-i finally took the plunge and registered! My first prog was 589 I think it was the Bisley dredd cover and I was hooked! I stopped reading tooth in early 90's and eventually returned after a 10 year break and since then it just seems to have gone from strength to strength. I've particularly been enjoying the latest casefiles as it's stuff I've  never read and I can't resist many of the latest hardcovers. Anyway I thought I'd say hello to you all!
Ps this is my first ever post on the Internet so please forgive any technical mishaps!
