Ian Brown of The Stone Roses (RIP) for the role of Dredd.

His face is the double for a Carlos E./ Mcmahon Dredd, from the nose down, especially the upturned lip. Shame about the body though . . .  (Ian Brown is very possibly ripped but lacks the muscle mass).

Are the current movies in the pipe line, eg. spiderman 4 and the Avengers thing going to be rebooted under Disney? (I hope not,these up and coming films may get disney-fied and lose that creative edge).

yep! total Marvel image hijack by Disney. Wonder how it'll affect the the current creative teams of writers and artists?

Good choice in Perlman (he's def got the weight and look of a kick ass Dredd). Mickey Rourke looked great in the Wrestler and is a great choice for Whiplash in Ironman2. His chin in Sin City did it for me, the perfect template for Dredds look perhaps in the new film?

What about a sound track. The Prodigy as part of the films sound track and with guest appearances by members of the band in the film would be awesome!

The film is awesome. Lacked one critical thing that was a given in the original, . . . kirk wandering around with a torn shirt after every fight sequence.
