Creative Common / Re: DREDDCEMBER!

As you and every creator don't want to lower your high standards I don't think us mere mortals see it that way and are just enjoying everything you've added so far (including you creative comentry) I hope you can keep the inspirational juices going but at this time of year we all have other distractions 🎅🏻
Great stuff so far 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻

Great Santa Dredd even though the beard covers old stoney face you can still tell he's not in the Xmas spirit 😄

Love these posts PJ and the commentaries are a great insght of an artist and their thoughts on their own work when us mere mortals are just in awe wishing we could draw half as good.
Looking forward to the rest of Dreddcember 👍🏻👍🏻

Fantastic Calvin parody today - I recently came across my collection of books and reread them after a long time getting dusty and ending in a few laugh out loud moments but those last 3 windows look very familiar (&  Funny).
Looking forward to the rest of the Advent. Keep up the good work everyone 👍🏻

Film & TV / Re: Marvel Superheroes hit Netflix
30 November, 2018, 06:48:57 AM
So that's Dare Devil now cancelled on Netflix after what I thought was a pretty good season 3. With Luke Cage & Iron Fist (weakest one) also cancelled it onl leaves Jessica Jones an probably a final season of the Punisher left from the Marvel studio on Netflix. Overall I thought they were better attempts at putting the super hero genre onto the small screen than the attempts on mainstream TV over the years. Even just comparing these with the DC set currently on Sky (though I'm currently watching Black Lighting also on Netflix and quite enjoying this for what it is).
It'll be interesting to see if these characters turn up on the new Disney channel as the violent programs they were or a watered down nobody gets killed ever super hero romp.
Anywhoo a lot of content space left available for any Rebellion productions 🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻

We all love Stront and the way Carlos Drew and John wrote/writes the stories and the case may well be strong to stop. But as maryanddavid says who will remember the characters in twenty years time if no more are written or drawn just us old farts! That's no way to honour the great man. Give it a rest for a year or two and try new upcoming artists and writers and yes the first ones may be a bit guff to us but you don't fold a football club because the cup winning team have moved on you keep going till you find the next winning team. If 2000ad is to continue for another 40 years the next generation have to fall in love with the next generation of artists and writers and drawing classic characters can help them with this.
Dredd keeps going because the teams keep changing good and bad. Could you imagine the prog without Dredd!!!
The prog would be a lesser entity if we could not get a (well written) adventure or two from Johnny and the Dogs in future years keeping the memory of Carlos alive i.e. Bob Kane & Batman
Everyone will have their opinion on how to honour Carlos and with our generation nobody will top him but there is another another great artist out there somewhere maybe even inspired by Carlos so I really do hope it's not the end of Johnny Alpha. Let the character live and so will the memory of Carlos.
The King is dead long live the King.
