Unbelievable standard this month. So hard to pick the top 3 they are all fantastic. But how and ever

1. Judda fett - torquemada. Beautifully drawn and coloured, worthy of the great O'Neill himself. Also fits the brief perfectly as hes both a god and a monster.

2. Steve Austin - Kano. B/w version for me. Those eyes follow you around the room.

3. James Dilworth - Howler. Lovely composition. Great detail and rendering.

Hms: Everyone else. Wonderful stuff.

Well done sir. Missing 81 and 83 myself. For my money the McMahon one from 82 is the absolute best.

You may revise that if you can get a hold of the '81. It's a masterpiece  :)
( '82 also rocked my young brain, of course ).
Saw a decent copy at the Con the other day. The annuals remain astonishing value for reasons I don't understand. Hardback, they're built to last...

Fungus my man you have inspired me...Evilbay here I come...just have to ask the boss' permission first.

Bizarre. Similar thing with my Dredd '82 annual. Pity, its such a great book otherwise. Rigelian hotshots all round for the glue droid i think.

If I may have the honour ??!! Very difficult to decide, but the ones that fitted the brief the best were:

1. Iamthesystem - call me Kenneth,
2. Davey peloe - Skysurfer.
3. Antodonnell - Dexters hardest hit.

HMs: Ragged man, Stuart cately, The Enigmatic Dr. X, Allister Mac, Amines 2058.

Then again we're all winners here !

Used to love collecting these. They were my only recourse for manys the year to Dredd stories I had missed as a youngster. The covers were cracking. I love the Mike McMahon one for the 'Cursed Earth Vol. 2, the colours just leapt off the page. Have about 10 or 11 of them still...and yes the binding is terrible. I never had it but I seem to remember the 'Judge Death' copy in hardback. Then again age might have dimmed my memories !
