Film & TV / Re: Pinewood's on fire!
31 July, 2006, 08:05:00 PM
The article was updated after I posted the link.   Originally it said something about the film still "being filmed."   I'm sure it did!

Oh well.   In the meantime, would anyone like to read my scripts for the six Dredd movies that Rebellion must make?   ;-P

It has to be Ro-Busters!   It's just like Thunderbirds... but with robots!

Film & TV / Re: Judge Dredd Movie on 5 tonight...

I watched it last night.   Well, I watched some of it.   It seemed as though every second scene contained an excised headbutt: a tricky item for network telly when you consider Mean Machine.

I still really like the animatronic ABC robot.    Just out of interest, does anyone know where it is now?

Wot it says on the tin.   Presumably the first chapter of each new novel, compiled into a little paperback.

Can't see if this has been mentioned elsewhere on this board, so here is a new thread covering this very interesting thing.

Talking of Doctor Who, for years I thought that in This Charming Man, Morrissey's singing, "He knows so much about E-Space".

>>I've just found out that the Kaiser Cheifs were singing "I predict a riot". And I thought the lyric was much better, when I thought they were singing "I've got Tourettes".

You thought that too!   Thank God.   I thought I was the only one.

I mishear things regularly, but my all-time favourite has to be:

"All the boys/
Think she's a spaz/
She's got/
Bette Davis eyes"

I recently listened to Aliens In The Blood.   It was OK, but I couldn't help thinking the plot was "borrowed" quite liberally from the Doomwatch movie, which by sheer coincidence was on TV a few weeks ago.

Mind you, Vince & Pete's constant trips to high-class restaurants in order to explain the plot was amusing in a camp sort of way.

I think that clip is bollocks.   Hopefully it'll be better in context.   Please, please, please...

>>The problem is Carlos' art isn't quite as magnificient as earlier on. So it may have been a bit of a false start on the series. Going back to it sounds like a good idea.

I rather like it.  It's kind of grittier, or something.

On the subject of colour Starlord reprints, I would love to see the Ro-Busters ones.
