Absolutely nothing will come of this. They'll just be far better at covering it up next time.

EDIT: Props to The Guardian for actually killing another paper though.

Rises was basically going to be a far more balls to the wall film than the previous ones anyway, not surprised they're going mental on the stunts.

Right about declining audience and appeal of the show.
Right about production and writing schisms and the BBC getting concerned about the direction and audience of the show.
Right about budget issues.
Right about RTD's positive influence and appeal.
Right about Matt Smith.
Right about characters like River Song and fucking Rory.
Right about Steven Moffat.
Right about the perils of pandering to a superfan anorak audience to the detriment of the mass audience that is the lifeblood of any early peak BBC programme.

Go to bed, RTD.

Would rather have Doctor Who go back into storage than a return to the RTD self-masturbationary fodder.

Tighter and more compact series next year sounds fine by me.

This year was fine, but it's a pain in the bloody arse to set so many plot points up that won't get resolved until the back end of the year.

More to come...

Scraps of info:

. Finalising the proposed story listing.
. Trying to find some material to show off.
. You will believe a man can fly.

Because of some slipping and sliding on the art deadline because of wanting to accommodate late comers, the official art deadline is now October, with a prospective release in November.

As for letterers, I've luckily been forwarded a few names that I'm going to be getting in contact with in the next few weeks. If I need anybody else you can be sure I'll be begging the usual suspects to pitch in.

What I'm still looking for is someone with a bit of skill in graphic design to help me cobble together various bits and pieces like the logo, the index, etc, so if you're good at that, message me.

Oh god, what the fuck is that... thing?!

Would rather see the film when the post effects are looking competent.

See early Green Lantern reactions for what happens when you show a film when the effects are primitive.

Oh, and the Mrs Robinson joke was the funniest thing I've ever heard in Doctor Who.

Wibbly wobbly timey wimey is fine by me. Fuck linearity, Moffat's ability to juggle timelines makes his episodes hold up incredibly well upon multiple rewatches. Have you seen the videos on the internet about the Silence/Silents possibly being in places in Series 5? I mean, shit the bed, that's some deep level of planning and detail if it turns out that the production team actually did that.

Beats RTD's obvious namedrops/anagrams of the big bad of the series.

Everybody should expect some form of communication from me over the next few weeks. I'm poking around teams to make sure some development and ideas are flowing, so it might be wise to at least prep something in regards as to how your strip pulls together. Few ideas maybe, sketches, communication, etc. Nothing major.

You have been warned though, I expect a little bit of progress at the very least.
