Trapper Hag AWESOME, that brings back memories. Ace piece as always radiator you really have a style all your own. That's unless I find out your using someone elses  ;D
The only crit would be the poses could have been pushed further but that's only nit picking.

Also for Krool Heart well by Grimm nice image. I would be tempted to highlight the character at the bottom either by contrasting value or a different colour, maybe a green/blue tint so the figure pops. As the focus is on the Krool Heart a subtle change would do it. Just an observation.

News / Re: New Rebellion Judge Dredd game?
04 September, 2009, 07:50:06 PM
I suppose it'd be too much to ask to have Judge Dredd / Mega City One based loosely on the Grand Theft Auto theme...?

That take on a Dredd game would be perfect. Open world sandbox in mega city with some large scale events to tie things together with popular characters, Hunting PJ Maybe, the dark judges, Mean ...... sweet. Plus all the day to day patrolling and law dispensing on the streets. Through in some online ranking system for the Judges who perform the best.

Thats a game I'd buy. Good news that there maybe a new one. I still have the Dredd vs Death.

Thats really funny, given how recongnisable it is at the moment its a good 2000ad style homage

Heh all, sorry for resurrecting an old thread but before starting this months comp I spent a few hours this morning tidying up this entry. Here s the final one I think I'll leave it alone now ....

This seems like a fun one .... I shall aim to do something NOT Dredd related. That's the real challenge ....

Hi all, nice to see a few more entries unfortunatly this month has washed me under with work so I had no time for a piece .... I'll be back for July ...

Another dynamic image GQ well done. Jim's addition does make it sing

Great piece Jim, it brought a smile to my face  :D Again your style has that classic feel. The lettering and rowf text are nice touches.

Hi all some really cool entries. I still need to start mine. Busy month. I was also thinking of doing a mechanismo droid. Seems I've been beaten too it that s what happens with an obvious choice

Good work as always Radiator.

Time to go and get thinking/sketching

Entries already crazy!!! Good stuff guys. Anyone have any reference for manta tanks etc. I can't seem to find anything online. I may need to rummage through all the progs.

QuoteAnt, was that your first art comp entry? If so, bit rude isn't it going around winning bronze so soon?

AHHH you got me... yeah it was my first entry but I'm no stranger to a pen. I shall watch my manners in the future
I still need to finish the piece. I'll post it up when it's done. There are a lot of talented people on the forum which is great.

Thanks for the votes guys. Well done all and especially GQ it's an awesome piece. The comp was really good fun. I'll be in for the next one  ;)
Chris' 2nd place has a great graphic quality and I can't help but be reminded of sin city or the madworld game looking at it.

There has been a lot of great entries in this comp. I m really impressed by the broad range of styles and ideas. It made these choices tough. Here are my votes ......

1 -  Gibson Quarter: It's just such a dynamic piece and is a great frozen moment.
2 -  Supersurfer: This was well executed and really feels like an older thrill. Iconic choice and art.
3 -  Simon Penter: Fine composition , solid drawing and desaturated colours ..... nice

HM - I'm cheating and picking Jim Campbell 01and 02 as the art style in both really reminds me of the earlier thrills and scream 2000 AD.

Well done to all it's was cool watching the entries appear.

Thanks for the replies all. I'll post up the finished piece after the comp.

Nice piece supersurfer, it's almost finished   The inks around the shoulder pad area worked really well.  How did you find inking in photoshop ?

Excellent style Radiator I'd like to see this finished.

Here's my last submit, I'm not finished and realised I wont finish it the way I want it by 12 so I'll do it over the weekend. I want to refine the details a bit more, define the BG better and add some smoke, debris, sparks from means head destroying the concrete.
