I loved my old megadrive. My fave games were road rash, speedball 2, james pond and flashback! I miss the simplicity of cartridges- cant be arsed downloading, installing and updating everything!

The Durham Red trilogy of books are up there with my all time 2000ad series, book 2 being my favourite. Book 3 has some amazing exras at the back if you do find a copy.

Really impressed with this idea. Ive got loads of progs in my mums attic and the thought of having them bound into a single volume appeals to me. Id only go for the period i remember most fondly-around the late 80s so it doesnt seem like such a mammoth task! Very nice looking volumes..

Really enjoyed this! Thought it was really well organised and a friendly atmos. Highlights for me was meetin personal faves Dave Taylor who i bought some art from and chatting to Steve Yeowell and Mike Dowling. would love for this to happen again soon tho if it doesnt i may try something like thought bubble this year!

General / Re: First prog you ever read?

My first prog was 589 the one with the cool Dredd Bisley cover. Loved all the stories in it from twister Dredd to nemesis the warlock and zenith phase 2..I'd never read anything like it. Totally kick-started my comics obsession. I've been on and off buying the progs in the years since. The only time I filled a gap was to catch up with button man 2 and 3 before they were released as tpbs.

I agree with all of the above..a massive shame it ended so soon and a pity the same team cant be brought over to 2000ad.
