The new episode is up, a chat with Pat Mills about the beginning of 2000AD. Seemed like a good place for it now we've reached Prog 12. :-D

Hi.
I've been listening to the podcasts for a couple of years. Love the work on Megacast and Everything Starts with...
I've been absent from the forums for ages, but have left feedback elsewhere.

I really like the format, a prog an episode, love the guests - keep that churning.

Not sure what equipment you're using - but Patrick Goddard needs to get a better mic.

Have a look at using Soundflower to just record the audio from Skype without having any of the system sounds interrupting the show.

Skype starts to cylon after 55 minutes. Worth plugging and unplugging USB mic's or keepin the recording times down.

Also may be worth recording the audio at both ends and editing together for better quality.

I haven't used Google Hangouts to do an audio podcast yet, but works well for video.

Anyway, keep up the excellent work, I really enjoy the show.

Hi cheers for this, however I won't be asking any guests to upgrade any equipment or fork out for recording software for a one off hour podcast. I think it's enough that they're prepared to give up their time to do it for free. I do my best with the sound - cleaning it up as best I can and where I can't fix it in the edit I leave warnings in the blurb so that listeners can make the choice to listen or not if they find sound issues annoying.

Thanks for the recommendations though, I will have a look at sound flower but I am not a fan of google hang outs at all. But I'm very glad to hear you're enjoying the content - me too! :-)
