....something like this:

I've been thinking of how the production-design of this film will look in the final product. Last night I was watching "Dark City", and I thought some of the stuff in it could be appropriate for "Dredd". Maybe the look of "Brazil"? What do you all think?

...yeah, almost as soon  as the film begins when the "Halls of Justice" is shown. ;)

Yeah, that's what I thought!!

....but what I wonder, since Jock says the film is like that story, is; does Dredd get locked in the bank along with the perps? what particular violent images does Bank Raid have? That sort of thing, if it is known.

Dredd isn't in the bank vault with the robbers but he does fire 'dodgems' into it and kills some of them.
Dredd executes the bank robbers on the sidewalk, and then shoots a jaywalker who tries to bribe him.

Sounds neat.

Four more days until Kapow-Con. Do you think we can expect a satisfactory presentation, Michael?

QuoteGive us an image DNA or whoever. Just one more image to save our sanity p-l-e-a-s-e!

Just one wouldnt hurt , would it ?

Message boarder, Michaelvk, worked on the film in a small capacity but was reprimanded for posting stuff so it's possible DNA don't want to release anything in case some fans moan or it provokes a negative reaction. A teaser trailer could hit the cinemas and be online in the summer?

In terms of sending out a good vibe, one quality image of Urban in the uniform, looking the part, could get a lot of fans being more supportive about the film. Imagine something like this done with Dredd:

I have no idea if poster designs/promo shots are done just after filming or later on prior to the film's release, but something like that poster officially released onto the net could excite fans and interest film goers and sci-fi fans.

That would indeed be awesome. Although, at this ponit, even something like this could be just as neat(provided Urban has helmet on, ofcourse ;)):

Many of you will know that Karl Urban is in the forthcoming film Priest. If you watch the trailer here, you will see a grimacing Urban in action at around 2 mins 16 secs in. His mouth and chin are quite satisfyingly Dredd-like as he gives someone a good beating.

http://www.imdb.com/video/imdb/vi931961625/

Not a lantern jaw as favored by many an artist, but it reminds me of the smaller but firm jaw as depicted by various artists.

Urban has stated his intention to act "with his mouth and chin". It'll be interesting to see how he goes about it.

If I was Urban I'd sit down with The Dirty Harry Collection and that should teach him all he needs to know.

....that, and maybe also study the cold mannerism that Yul Brynner used in "Westworld". In that role, Brynner conveyed fear almost purely with body language.

2000AD was out in February, Star Wars was released in May. I believe 200AD was in-development for over a year so Star Wars wouldn't have had a huge influence. There was a slew of SCI-FI films throughout the 70's that influenced the development of 2000AD.

Indeed. Namely, "Westworld", "Logan's Run", "Soilent Green", "2001: A Space Odyssey" and "Death Race 2000".

Well, I think we have to probably consider other actresses, other than Heady(it could just very well be her), that have worked along side Gerard Butler. There's Miranda Richardson who worked with him on "Phantom of The Opera", or maybe even Amber Valletta who worked with him on "Gamer".

She only came up because Michael mentioned '300' reasons...

Ahh! Ofcourse!!
