Film & TV / Re: Last movie watched...

I watched Terminator Geysis the other night. I had to go to the toilet at one point and it's possible that the plot was explained while I was out of the room but I doubt it. The whole film was pretty pointless and the constant reminders of the first film only served to showbhow rubbish Genysis is.

I haven't enjoyed all of the recent run of stories but that's what happens with an anthology. Every reader will have a different experience to each other and sometimes you're the person who only enjoys one story in each issue. My only complaint would be about the massive gap between some books of stories in the program - hello Ampney Crucis. And Bix Barton. I think we're due another book of that soon.

Speaking as a postman who has a prog subscriber on my route, I can confirm that I delivered the latest issue on Saturday so they must have gone out.

My first post on here in God knows how long but I had to say that I think the choice of stories for this line is completely uninspiring. I realise that as someone who still buys the program every week and most trades I'm probably not the target audience but there are too many volumes on titles already in collected form. I'm going to keep buying every issue but I would have preferred that instead of x volumes on slaine and Strontium Dog reprinting titles already collected that hidden classics such as the Red Seas had been included.

Rant over, I would also like to say that I'm delighted this is happening at all and I hate to sound so miserable about it.

I know that the members of this forum are always polite and nice to each other and I like that. But at some point somebody has to accept that apoc-eclipse is a complete and utter fruitcake and the best thing that could happen is for him to be blocked from this forum.

Out of interest, what's the reason for this? I always find it kind of fun massively fucking irritating to figure out who someone is.

FTFY.

I met Jim once a few years back at the first Kapow convention. I've never met butch/frank / whatever name it is today. Basically I'm saying that I'm not biased on this topic but I agree with Jim. Usernames on here changing at the drop of a hat is a pain in the arse. I'm glad that the moderators are putting a stop to it.

Books & Comics / Warhammer 40k part work
18 September, 2016, 11:38:36 PM
My apologies if I'm repeating a subject, but I didn't see anything about this on here.

I thought long and hard about buying the first part of hacettes latest 80 issue partwork. I've just been made redundant so paying for the mega collection is going to be a struggle. However the first issue of the 40k books is very good and I hope it continues.

I really enjoyed Necrophim and would like to see it collected. I don't remember it being that popular on here though.

I was on the mailing list for this but it looks like I'm not receiving them anymore. Who would I need to speak to about this? Thanks.

Farage and Geldof on the Thames made me embarrassed to be a Londoner.

Cheered myself up after getting notice of possible (read: highly likely) redundancies by getting carried away on this sale. Great offer, especially with the postage - £5.99 for 100+ progs is a bargain.

Brass Sun, Jaegir, Absolom and Grey Area would be my favourites. Zaucer never really clicked with me and I skipped it on a recent prog slog. I enjoyed Damnation ~Station until the last book, which lost me with the change of art aand direction of the plot.

The Business isn't a shit film because it has Danny Dyer in it. It's a shit film that just happens to have Danny Dyer in it.
