Yeah, I figured that might be the case. The Robocop DVD is only a couple of years old and I havnt been posting regularly for yonks.

Back to the movie....I love the bit where Paul Verhoven calls robocop the american jesus. Its all in the accent.

Apologies if this has come up before.

I've never been one for watching the "making of" extras on dvds but knowing that Robocop was influenced by Dredd I thought Id pop it on and have a look. At one point one of the conceptual art guys shows a "prototype" model of robocop. I use the quotations since it's actually a model of Dredd, yet somehow no-one on the whole feature mentions this...

Best news today:

This morning at work I went off looking through a walk-in cupbard for something and came across a copy of Superman vs. the Terminator graphic novel.  Alan Grant and Steve Pugh's finest hour!

Took me at least 15 mins to find what I was looking for...

Already Im sick of "It borrows too much from Ocarina" style excuses for not giving it full marks. For some reason if nintendo DONT revolutionise gaming they get criticised. Didnt Edge give Half-life 2 10? Wasnt that just Half life with prettier graphics...? Can any FPS ever be original enough to get a 10? Only Metroid:Prime, and that got 9. Bah!
